    'secret' Super car meet

I went on the Supercardriver.com season opener yesterday, what a day!

Supercar drivers from around the country met at an air field, some really great and rare cars showed up

They also held a closed envelope auction for a ride round the track in a P1....which I won! Was unbelievable, and the guy gave it death, video below

    Looks a great day.

I reckon the 993 could do with a bigger wing though.

That Sir; super/hipercars on the public road, is a special topic on its own.

Last friday my date brought it up in hilarious manner when she listed her views on male rediculousness.

That Masserati at the back of the XJ220 pic looks familiar from around here. I noticed one with those stripes in town the other day.

Don't know much about this club but looks interesting, plus I am lucky enough to own a car that meets the criteria. Anymore info on the club?

    They seem quite choosy:

    Dodge/Chrysler: Viper/SRT only
    Nissan: GTR models considered
    BMW: M models considered

oh, wait; Lancia: any model. Right, I'm joining with my Y10.

Yeah, they have meets nearly every week, with bigger ones every 3 months or so

    £100 a year to join

Is a great laugh and always entertaining driving in convoy with so many special cars. There's a few anoraks that go, but the majority are good lads

If you PM me I'll discuss with you more

    Mine was the 991

Felt like I'd turned up in Nova SRI in the company I was keeping yesterday

Some friends of mine own R&D Automotive so been to an event down there a month or two ago.

Quite an eclectic bunch of cars and the usual Porsche is better than Ferrari and my Elise is faster than a Veyron banter that you typically get at these things. I also qualify so may start going to a few. There is also a regular meet up near Warrington that happens every few months of a similar nature.

The P1 looks good, although that flapping trim would have probably made me a bit nervous when some random noise started in my £gazillion motor at full pelt.

Wow, now that looks like an excellent day out, and gratz on the P1 ride. 175 mph down the runway there.

I bet Mclaren would be very pi$$ed off to see that trim flapping about on their million pound supercar. Not a good advert for their brand quality.

Pass, worth asking Adam the organiser though

It did a couple of years ago although they seem to be more stringent now

I'm guessing they wouldn't be too keen on the 924 I owned about 7-8 years ago. Cost me £650 to buy!
