Not polished at all, I can guarantee. But as a compromise, we could have a few humpen beier at your preferred pub and then move on to have a Schweinshaxe at Mousel's Cantine once we get hungry?

John Prescott on the Today programme - shudder. I have no idea what he's talking about but I imagine he also has a rather more personal version of this problem. Apologies for making this comment in G&D but it really wasn't worth creating a new thread in the BP and, anyway, the discussion is about clowning rather than politics.

I'll get my coat in any case; once I've worked out how to wear the belt on the back correctly.

Libraries - how amazing the service is now. Free mags to read at home on your PC or tablet. Free downloadable books and audiobooks. Free use of a PC in the library if you need it. Amazing.

Why do all politicians(it seems) use that awful phrase:

I still haven't worked out why there was a bloke wearing a Bayern Munich dressing gown walking past Charing Cross station earlier.

A chalazion, also known as a meibomian gland lipogranuloma, is a cyst in the eyelid.

Hot salt water appears to do no good in getting rid of the damn thing.

Replaced one shelve in our pantry with 5 sliding draws. Now the wife can buy even more stuff that she then throws away because it goes past the eat by date.

    Waitrose will be happy.

Then your good lady needs to shop here: http://www.approvedfood.co.uk/ I put one test order in and everything is fine. So far, as of this precise moment, I'm still alive.

It’s weird that the Seiko 5 has so many variants; I’ve seen many of ‘em that look completely dissimilar. Anyway, I keep seeing Seiko 5’s mentioned in people’s recommended watches lists or comments. That said, people tend to say they quite like its cost/value ratio.

    Dunno. Just some thoughts!

I have finally managed international air travel with a Tesco briefcase. Why have I not managed this before; it's the future.

Seiko 5's are great, - I've just bought my first '5'.
I've got a few other Seiko's too..... I'm beyond saving.

Heard Eye of the Tiger (Rocky soundtrack) in the gym the other day. Must've been the first time I can remember at any gym. Surprised you don't hear it a lot more...very motivating!

Wife's away so I decided to go out and get a kebab - ordered a large one. Got it home and despite it being "lish" I could only eat 50% (and I really tried).

There was a time when I could have done that, after 5 point of Stella and then shagged a slapper.

I'm finding that. I used often to measure the quality of my dinner only if it was an equilateral triangle in section... Nowadays it's all changed, except for chocolate.

Just enjoyed a film on Blu Ray, and decided to partake in the 'Special Features'.
Somewhat disappointingly the 'Special Feature' (yes, singular) was the trailer. That was it
