Very sad new, I had pleasant deals with Paul, thoughts with family.

RIP
Very sad news. I met him a couple of times and I was amazed how well he coped with his condition.
Paul
Terrible news, really saddened when I noticed the thread title. RIP Paul, you'll be missed by many on TZ.
Incredibly sad. I hope you get some good watches in heaven Paul.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Paul phoned me on Tuesday evening this week because he couldn't login to the forum as he'd forgotten his password (regular occurrence) and he was telling me about his next planned watch purchase. He said he felt good and was happy so you can imagine my shock to hear that he died last night. His brother said that he was fine at 8:00 PM but at 10:30 PM he was dead. It just goes to show that you never know.
I've known Paul ever since the forum started and I've met him several times including hospital visits. I thought he might not survive a severe infection in 2005 because I've never seen anyone labouring for breath like he was when I saw him in hospital but survive he did, Paul was a fighter. For me, this is not just losing a forum member, it's losing a good friend and it hurts.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Sad news indeed.
As with others, I'm conscious that Paul was one of the early members on this forum, and he will be greatly missed by all.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Shocked to hear this, my thoughts are with Paul's friends and family
Awful News and shock for his Family, RIP.
Genuinely moved by this (and Eddie's last post). Very sad. Rest in peace, Paul.
Very sorry to hear this news. May you rest in Peace my friend.
I am so sad I first had contact with Paul 10 years ago and he was a great guy we exchanged a few mails. This news makes me feel a little guilty being that I have had three heart attacks and two DVTs in the last few years.
I always thought I would be gone sooner than he.
Rest in peace Paul and keep flying around in heaven mate it will keep your watch wound.
Paul.
Sad news, RIP Paul. Thoughts go out to all his family and friends.
Very sad news.
RIP Paul, hope you're rockin'out wherever you are.
What terrible news. Rest in peace, Paul.
Bloody hell.
Rip.
Sad news indeed. RIP
Very sorry to hear of this.
RIP Mr Crowley.

"I looked with pity not untinged with scorn upon these trivial-minded passers-by"
Sad news. Thoughts go out to his family and friends.
Stunned by this news. RIP Paul and condolences to his family.

So sad.
RIP Paul.
I will shed a tear, raise a glass and listen to some Metal.
If there is some way we can chip in together for a bouquet for the funeral I would like to contribute
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
I received the news of Paul's death an hour before I had to leave to attend the funeral of my oldest cousin (Geoffrey Baxter, aged 80) and even during the service, I couldn't stop thinking about Paul. My wife and I have a friend who has MS and I told Paul about her and sent him a couple of pictures. To put it bluntly, he was enamoured and wanted to meet her. Although this was difficult it was something I wanted to enable and told him so. Here's a recent picture, when I delivered her Christmas present the other week.
I'm very sorry he never met her.

Very, very sad news.
As was said earlier, news like this puts everything else into perspective.
RIP Paul.
This is terrible news, what a shame.
He'll really be missed around here.
That is a shock! RIP Paul.
You were an inspiration and an example to all of us that will be sadly missed!
jeff
Real shame and sorry to hear this. Paul was a good guy, and will be missed by us but obviously more by his family. Maybe a collection for a chosen charity donation or a TZ bunch of flowers?
James
Sad to hear that, rest in peace.
Very sad to hear this.
Such awful news...RIP Paul.
Our thoughts are with your family.
Steve
Sad news. RIP
Sad news to hear, RIP.
R.I.P A real good guy, who will be sadly missed on the forum.
Very sad news. Rest in Peace
So sad, such a brave bloke, will be sadly missed RIP Paul
Wow. This is so terribly sad and a real shock to see this thread title just now.
I spent a bit of time (years) away from the forum and on my return some months ago I noted that I wasn’t seeing much of Paul. I checked via the members’ list and noted that he was still intermittently active and that his already incredibly tough circumstances were changing. I chatted online quite a bit with Paul in the earlier days of the forum and I know that he bore his situation with great bravery and humour.
My condolences to his friends and family.
Rest in peace Paul.
That is very sad news.
I have fond memories of Paul, especially when he was going through his Audemars Piguet phase.
RIP Paul
This is so sad to hear, I haven't been around here as long as others but I have had a few dealings with Paul and know his story. I hope we can all help his family in some way.
Very sad news indeed,
Didn't know him personally, but knew from the forum here that he had some health difficulties and that Paul was a bit of a hero with many of the long term members here.
R.I.P Paul and condolences to your friends and family.
Oh this is such a shock to me. I've followed Paul's membership here for years and have admired the way he has dealt with his health issues. I'm gutted. Eddie I'd love to contribute to a wreath if we can have a fund set up. RIP Paul you won't be forgotten.
Rod
Very saddened to hear this. I didn't know Paul well but we did exchange a few PM's regarding our shared Ozzy inspired forum screen names. I shall crank up an Ozzy, Motorhead and Metallica playlist tonight in his honour.
My thoughts are with his family.
Very sad.......I know he'd been through the mill a bit (health wise).. Over the last few years... But he didn't let it get him down and was always the same old Paul when he posted on here.... RIP..
I'm very sorry indeed to hear this news, Eddie.
RIP, Paul.
