    Posting to Denmark?

    Hello chaps,

I'm about to send a Panerai to Denmark, has anyone any idea of cost? I've never posted there before. Do the Royal Mail offer a service?

    Cheers

    Adam

Funnily enough I've just sold my PO to a chap in Denmark.
If it's no more than 2kg, you can send it Via Airsure which is tracked.
The difficulty you'll have is with insurance. Airsure only covers up to £500.
This will apply to every single courier I know of. Even the ones that appear to offer more usually exclude watches in the small print.

Thanks for that. How much was it if you don't mind me asking?

I haven't sent it yet but according to the website it's about £22 for 2kg.

Sold a few things on eBay to a chap in Denmark, sent it through UPS having booked it with parcel2go. Ended up costing about £18, you also have the option of insuring it to the proper value.

I've received a few watches via parcel2go (not from Matt). So thumps up for parcel2go from the receiving end.

I recently sent my Zuriner to Finland,Upto 2 kg was £13.65, mine was 2.750kg and for been over by just .750 the cost was £33.**!.

I expected a few quid for the .750, but not as much as £33,oh and this was with NO cover, that would have cost me £58,the buyer was happy for me to send without at his risk, which is always best to establish in the event of the package vanishing into thin air,or possibly onto someone other than the buyers wrist!.

Just sent an item to Finland, so I can tell you exactly.

As long as you're under the 2kg, then Airsure is the way. £2kg is about £22 anywhere in Europe. Over the 2kg you go onto Parcelforec Worldwide, which is much more expensive.

For a PAM you will need insurance. Parcel Pro will be £15-20 on top - it seems to be the same whether you're sending to the EU, or within the UK.

Oh no you don't. You can pay extra to up the compensation, but the small print lists watches as no compensation items so you won't get paid if it's lost or damaged.
