That looks absolutely beautiful. Assuming it's 34mm the size looks great as well.
Bought it out of New Zealand via Ebay but after receiving it appeared the automatic winding mechanism and some other small parts were missing. After 3 months of searching and spending >EUR 500 on parts from all over the world is this the result: a 1954 Rolex 6580.
Looks great,congrats!
Did the seller told you about the missing parts?
Absolutely gorgeous. Nice to see its been restored rather than lost for good.
No he didn't and stated that he didn't open it (and knew knothing about watches anyway). Bit of a dead end street. When I opened it it went pretty easy so assumed it was opened short before...
Wow, what a fantastic result, you must be over the moon!
"I looked with pity not untinged with scorn upon these trivial-minded passers-by"
Understated class , well done for holding your nerve when stumping up for servicing costs. It looks lovely.
Great looking watch
wow! beautiful rolex which does not look 50y old!
Wow! Stunner!
That's a beauty. I particularly like the Explorer-like gilt dial on it.
