Shame the resurrector has missed the fact that the OP has zero willpower and could not stick to 3 watches if his life depended on it!!
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Three I've always aspired to are
Movado Astronic HS360
Patek Jumbo Nautilus
IWC Mark XI
Michael
Rolex 5513 submariner
Omega speedmaster professional
JLC master geographic
If the next three I want;
Vacheron Overseas chrono (white dial)
IWC Doppelchrono on bracelet
JLC Reverso Calendar in rose gold
The IWC is realistic within the year... I hope!
-A Rolex
-Patek 5196p
-Another Rolex
My current sirens calling are;
Rolex explorer 1
Jacques Etoile Atlantis
Stowa Flieger B type dial.
Now to pour the wax in my ears before I am bankcrupted
Im happy with my 3 in front row though sometimes think about changing the LV for a SS Daytona.
The back 3 not as much love nowadays!!
Realistically.
Rolex GMT Master II (coke bezel)
Omega Seamaster 2531(my first luxury watch but had to let it go)
Glycine Incursore.
Unrealistically.
Patek Phillipe Calatrava in white gold.
Rolex Sub- white gold/blue dial
Phillipe Dufour Simplicity.
Patek Nautilus 5711
Newman Daytona
Milsub
For me - diver / chrono / GMT - at least one has to be classic acrylic with matte dial. That takes me towards:
Rolex 1680 Sub or 1665 SD - diver/classic/acrylic
Planet Ocean GMT - black dial - a little on the thicker side, but one that would work well for travel or everyday
My Fortis 644.27.11 Cosmonaut LE, with the Lemania 5100.
If I flipped my Speedy Pro and SMP 2264, I'd be a good way towards the Sub, and may go that way next year. The GMT will probably have to wait a bit...
Already contributed to a similar thread, but keep changing my mind in terms of priority (except for the Zenith):
1) Zenith El Primero 'New Vintage 1969' Panda Dial (I have one in my sights)
2) DN GMT (eagerly anticipated)
3) Longines 13zn (the dream)
Quite like thinking about this, as it focuses the mind!
I think I'm staying where I am for the moment.
Can I list the three I'd like to sell?
Changes monthly , weekly ....... Sometimes daily
Seiko 7549-7009 Golden Tuna
Omega Seamaster 300 GMT Great White
Bremont ALT1-C/SI
The three I currently own.
My 2d worth (I wish !)
Panerai Pam 111
Rolex Date-Just 1980s with smooth bezel
Heuer Chrono - 1970s model in PVD with orange hands (don't ask)
The Heuer is an ongoing quest for a model I owned in 1979 and can't track down.
Adds to the fun though, I suppose.
I own several of my grails at the moment and they'd be my three;
Blancpain Fifty Fathoms chronograph
Jaeger-LeCoultre Duometre chronograph
Breguet 5707 Reveil du Tsar
But how can anyone live without a Reverso, something vintage and something on a bracelet??
5 is a minimum :)
First world problems...
16600 Sea dweller
16750 Gmt Master
5513 Sub
I've got 2 out of the three!
16750 Rolex GMT (oh, hi Mike ;)) ^^
Patek Aquanaut
JLC Master Moonphase
A real 36mm Explorer instead of the £10 knock off I got from HK in 2006 (it's now losing about 5 mins a day and I had to superglue the 12 index back on)
ND sub to replace the real one I sold in 2003
A GMT Master II while I can still just about afford one
Probably fairly safe but the following cover all the bases...
Sea Dweller
Reverso
IWC Portuguese (371446)
"I looked with pity not untinged with scorn upon these trivial-minded passers-by"
Think I've finally settled now with a trio of the Yachtmaster (as smart as I go), Pelagos (daily tool) and Emergency (multifunction Superquartz).
Sea Dweller
Daytona (White Face)
JLC Master.... there are so many nice JLCs that I can't decide which is on my wish list!
AP Royal Oak
ALS Datograph
PP Worldtime
Don't have any of those yet, but I do intend to buy them during my lifetime!
Grand Seiko Spring Drive GMT Titanium
Rolex Sea Dweller
AP Royal Oak Chrono Rose gold
- Speedmaster Pre-moon
- '60s Seamaster 300
- Early Tudor Snowflake
Omega Speedmaster Professional (Sapphire Sandwich)
IWC Portofino 3565-01
Rolex SD 16600
1/ Submariner
2/ Seiko Tuna sbbn015
3/ Seiko MM300 Marinemaster
I'm waiting for the MM300 and then I'm done!
1. Breitling super ocean Chrono
2. Omega speedmaster
3. Hamilton Jazzmaster
Three realistic watches
Speedy Pro
Planet Ocean
Sub LV
Hope to achieve two in the next 6 months or so.
Since several watches from my list have been acquired and two are in the pipeline, my wish list changes.
It cúrrently is (in no specific order):
- Cartier Santos quartz
- Agat 194 Chs
- Mare Nostrum homage build
I'd go for:
JLC Master Compressor (not the Navy Seal jobbie) or a Grand Reverso of some type
Dornbluth 99.1
Lange & Sohn - to be realistic, it would have to be pre owned ( which might still be unrealistic!)
Seems to be quite a lot of Sea Dweller love!
Gold Daytona - Paul Newman dial.
Vintage heuer
Great White SD
QUOTE=learningtofly;2452382]I'll start...
Omega SM300 (original, not new build)
Rolex "Paul Newman" Daytona
Heuer "Siffert" Autavia
Keep it to watches that you not only aspire too but actually intend to own one day...
(Edit: I could have included the JLC Master Calendar or even the PC 8 Days, but I did say three!)[/QUOTE]
Oris Carlos Coste 2000m non chrono
Sinn U1000
some Panerai, still not sure which one
Bulova Accutron Snorkel
Benrus Sky Chief
Tag Heur Monza
All three are beautiful and attainable....maybe someday....if I win the lottery
Two wish- but not that realstic ones under way-
Phew. Good thing they were not on the realistic list ;-)
Rolex Yachtmaster
Rolex Daytona
IWC Ingenieur
Omega PO 8500 calibre.
IWC iwc portuguese Hand wound
JLC (any of them)
White gold Daytona on a leather strap
Panerai Black seal 8 day.
Mint 1960's Rolex GMT Master complete set.
If we're being realistic:
- Omega Seamaster Professional 2541: the cleanest and most rugged of the SMPs in the classic Bond style
- Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 8500 Blue Dial: probably the most beautiful watch I have laid my eyes on
- Rolex Submariner No-Date Ceramic: a long overdue modern update of a classic
But we're being unrealistic I'd also love a totally gaudy yellow gold Rolex 36mm Day-Date on President bracelet and polished (not fluted) bezel. Horrible to most on here I'm sure but I'd love one.
