Excellent (especially after you told us what it said)
Look forward to your progress in regards to making more 'light paintings.'
Thought I'd have a go at trying some light painting today, didn't really go that well but thought I'd post the result, both in colour and a B&W version:
It's meant to say " LUME " by the way !
Think I need a thinner LED and a lot more practice.

Thanks! I found it very hard to line up the letters as you can tell. Lol.
By the way for those that don't know, I should have explained earlier.
Light painting is using a bright light to make patterns or 'write' words in the air on a picture with a long exposure to capture the light. So in my pics above I quickly wrote "Lume" in the air above the watch using a small led light. It's a bit like when you are a kid and use a sparkler to write your name in the air on fireworks night. It's a lot harder than I thought it was going to be and I need a lot more practice!

Looks great for a first attempt IMO. By the looks of it though, that seiko is bright enough to write with as well though! Really need to get one of those.
That looks cool, I used to do a bit of light painting ;), it is fun.

getting in the washing machine was fun :)
Can someone tell me how this is done? I am not at all intelligent so please go easy!!
Thanks Wayne! Might try it the Seiko - Good idea!
Those images are excellent! That's the kind of stuff I want to have a go at, I need to get some led strip lights and some led pointers etc.
Actually if you've still got them (and don't use them) I'll buy them off you!
Also want to give wire wool a go at some point! :-)
Looking forward to trying some more soon.
In theory it's quite simple just use a long exposure on a tripod and point a bright light towards the camera and move it around quickly. as the exposure is long and the surroundings are dark you yourself wont be visible in the shot (unless you stand in the same place for a long time!) In practice though it's a lot harder than it sounds lol!
Good fun though, give it a try. Also google 'light painting' for some inspirational images!
