Used the Window Cleaner Vac this weekend - I must say very surprised how good it actually works.

I was just "chatting" offline to another TZer, and seem to have inadvertently come up with a phrase that may resonate with one or two others who are as useless as me at doing what they intended...

    Reverse-culling.

Thank you. All is well at home, he's settled in nicely. Trying to get used to the lack of sleep at the moment, hoping to get him into a routine in due course.

Just about to take my son to his second 20-20 cricket match against South Wilts - we are going to get beaten in to a cocked hat. Not if, just how many. Just hoping for a good performance from the team against a very very good team.

You know that feeling you get when you lean back in a chair and just catch yourself before you tip back?

I feel like that all the time.

Well the lowly snake ,managed a losing draw. So managed to snick a point. They all did very well, especially that stnad in keepers, however South Wilts were a class act.

Well done, congrats. That's a great achievement - especially considering the distractions this year has brought.

You're supposed to disconnect the rails first.

I bet it's not the same when you have nothing to not get up for. Also, no more weekends or Bank Holidays for you!

You have plenty to get up for when you retire, only now you're doing it for things you choose to do.

It's often ruled by the need to hit a certain posting milestone I would guess in some cases. Whatever happened to the running thread...

No, no. What you need is a "Tactical" one. They're really butch.

Today I am mostly having my central heating boiler changed. Which means that I am picking my way around, negotiating plumbers, pipes, tools and boilers old and new. The new boiler can't be a straightforward replacement for the old one, as "regulations" require a different flue. Of course.

Today, tonight and tomorrow I will have no heating, which doesn't matter as I chose to have the job done now rather than in the depths of winter, but also no hot water. It's easy to forget how much we take for granted.

It will be nice when it's finished.

One of my wife's friends describes her 9 year old son as being competitive. I see him as insecure and approval seeking. Perspective's a funny thing, isn't it?
