Nice job, but now I think you need an orange Isofrane!
Nice job, but now I think you need an orange Isofrane!
Nice job! Couple of questions before I try to do this myself....
- did you remove the black paint first?
- how long did you wait before removing the exces paint?
- what did you use to remove the exces paint?
Ive done if before when I did a snow monster
For that one I removed all the paint from the bezel, that was hard going.
For the Orange one above I did not remove the existing bezel paint. If it didnt take I was going to remove it all and start again but it did.
If you use the enamel paint when it first goes on it looks glossy, I just waited until it dulled a bit, around 30mins - 45mins - it becomes tacky. If it just wipes off easily when you try it you need to wait a while longer
To remove the paint I used just regular nail polish remover.
Whats the Humbrol paint colour?
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."
"You gotta know when to hold em and know when to fold em".
Is this color used for ship models?
Great job...
Great jobs - both of them. I'm rather tempted to give this a go myself.
I will have to try this too. Need to test my imagination a little.
Great job! Thanks for the extra info.

looks very nice
Excellent I am off to find some paint
Those monsters look fantastic what a great mod thanks for sharing.
Great work Vinny :)
Great work vinstink, looks great (and no need to replace this expensive bezel or send the watch to Omega)...
What kind of paint did you use?Same one?
That's bloody great, thanks for sharing the process.
For the excess paint removal, how did you prevent the nail polish remover from getting into the grooves for the markings where you actually wanted the new paint to stay?

I wiped very firmly with the cloth tight around my fingertip.
I found wiping across the bezel, ie from crystal to bezel edge had the best outcome.
Ahhh...I see. Makes a lot of sense. Perhaps I'll try this method on one of the watches I own that could use some fresh paint in one of the numbers on the bezel.

Has anyone tried this with Red Enamel on a Black Monster bezel ?
looks great, i'm off to get some paint:)
Really changes its whole appearance. I have exactly the same Orange one (well, without the modded bezel, at least for now).
Thanks for sharing it.
Looks brilliant!
Just goes to show what you can achieve if you have the time and patience
