My first 'proper' watch was a SuperOcean, now I have that and a B1.

I have a Superocean dating back to 2008, cant show a picture as its away at Breitling for a service.
This one is my everyday beater and has not been off my wrist since I got it back.....
This ones not seen the light of day for over a year and a half but looking at the picture makes me think I should get it out of the safe......
Cheers

Ralph Waldo Emerson: We ask for long life, but 'tis deep life, or noble moments that signify. Let the measure of time be spiritual, not mechanical.
That would be the reference m13380 @45mm (wears a tad smaller IMO).
Basic facts here: http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch...mited_189.html
Here next to the SBGA011 (beauty and the beast?) for a little perspective,
Here's mine - my first. Very happy with it as well - especially on the OEM leather.
I thought this was great
If it was a little less "Breitling", i would still have it.
I toy with the idea of getting a more used one, removing the bezel over-riders, painting out the useless compass rehaut numerals and characters, filling the bezel indices with paint and re-luming it to a super-bright level.
It would almost be perfect then.

Seeing that you are doing a little changing of things to get this watch just right for you can I suggest that you do something about that "5" overlapping the date window border.
That would drive me insane!! (I hope I have not just pointed out something that will annoy you evermore. Apologies if I have)
Here's mines, a Colt GMT. It looks likes they don't make it anymore, which is a shame as its a nice watch. Its just a stock image because I'm crap at taking photos.
Another colt here.
It may be the poor mans Breitling, but I like it (being a poor man).
Im in again with a new arrival soon ha ha
Hubba Hubba!!!
Its a pro 2 rubber and are under £100 if I recall correctly
yes I see now I thought it was a pro 2 rubber at first didn't see the yellow band I stand corrected.

Superocean Abyss straps I believe, hence available in red, yellow (I have one of each) and blue.
My red one came from cgs (Col) who I believed paid £160 incl tang buckle.
£190 could possibly be the full RRP?
My yellow Seawolf was supplied on the strap, at my request
Andrew - could you do some good photos of the abyss straps - I don't think anyone had shown them properly on here yet
Cost me £135 posted from Andrew Micheals.

Can't help but notice that Navitimers seems to be out of favour at the moment looking at the forum members collections.
Got a sentimental heirloom 1969 Navitimer 816 in need of some serious attention though. Really can't decide how to go about it. Big overhaul or light service. That said, I don't have the money for either so futile thought really.
