    Quite chuffed

I applied for Fellowship of the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) a few weeks ago & got confirmation today that my application had been approved, so I'm now entitled (not that I often use my letters) to use FRICS rather than MRICS after my name should I wish.

The firms picks up my annual subscription, so I don't personally have to fund the extra £100 per year or so.

Does this mean you won't want to be associating anymore with the likes of us lot?

My B in L was an FRICS. He ended up being an expert witness and earned a lot of money.

I thought that FRICS was something to do with the suspension on Formula 1 cars. Well, you live and learn.

As Foxy said, I don't suppose we'll be seeing you again - onwards and upwards, and all that. Congratulations, anyway. What are you buying to celebrate?

    Regards

I'll try not to let it go to my head. As for buying something to celebrate the 710 says I've done that already.

I saw my main client yesterday. The first thing they said after well done, was don't even think about putting your rates up.

I spent half of yesterday stripping down an MG with a friend. The wife had a right go at me, saying how I couldn't spend any money on it as all money needs to go into a kitchen extension fund. I had to point out it was my friend's MGB we were stripping down for restoration. I didn't tell her that we start work on mine next month...

Yes, but Dave, subs for your local Girl Guides troup is probably deemed inappropriate for your job.
