The Wallabees are classic and have a soft spot for the crepe sole.
Anyone else a fan?

I have a pair of blue dessies. They take some bloody wearing in I can tell you.
I have one pair, tan suede and look like something from the late 50's. Love em.
The new desert treks with green and blue crepe soles are lovely, grabbed them both today fro website

I seem to recall that you made quite a few comments on the threads about sartorial elegance. To be fair I understand why now, you are infinitely better dressed than me. I own one pair of smart shoes that I wear for work and everything else smartish. They were given to me by my dad as he didn't like them. I on the other hand hate them. Their only attribute is that they cover my feet.
I think I need to spend some money.
I bought a pair of brown dessies in the sale at Next for about £15 (they only had one pair and in my size left) and they are lovely. A damn sight more comfy than the Clarks.
I like Clarks, but it's almost customary when you're working and living around Somerset!
love me clarks , comfiest shoes out there
Mate, you know you can't strap these to your PAM's - don't you :)
I wonder if when they are worn out I couldnt get straps made from them! Nice patina and smell!

What? No unboxing pictures?
Been thinking of buying a pair of Desert Trek ( bank robbers ) for a while and just found these .

A tribute to Trojan records and Jamaica's passion for the brand .
Need to get some nice low profile Jinx next for summer

What is it about squaddies and desert boots ?
I'd post a picture of mine but they're in a different country (and they're not Clarks)
Wearing a pair of Original Wallabee boots as I type, picked up in their sale for £30 instead of £100. Love the style but have to admit they're not the most comfortable, ok if I wear them loose with a plaster though.

Just a wallabee man myself and preferably boots.
Was never a fan of deserts although am beginning to like them now. Not got a collection or anything just usually have a couple of pairs a time.
The deserts wear alot narrower than the wallabies but the Pretty Green Clarks Deserts are nice and wide and alot flatter, shame they fell out and no longer make them

I bought my desert boots from LL Bean in the US as they come in a wide fitting. They're pretty similar to Clarks but the crêpe sole is much heavier.
This island is full of them and actually UK people during their holidays or stay here always bought Clarks on their way back
wonder if there is a factory here as well
Well have a scope Raptor and see what they cost buddy

I've always had at least 1 pair of Clarks desert boots since I turned 17, so coming up for 25 years now, and have always worn them a lot. Three pairs at the moment in different colours. They do take a little wearing in, but once they are, I find them immensely comfortable.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
I had a pair that reminded me of Cornish pasties!

You mean Desert Treks I think, the new range with blue & green & orange crepe soles are stunning
RIAC
Yep, going to order some of those navy ones although apparently the orange is 'more' orange than it looks. Different though.
These aren't my personal cup of tea (don't like the sole) but a possible bargain for someone - £43. Just found them whilst looking on clarks website

I'm on my 4th pair of Desert Trek-right, Mrs loves the pasty style-centre but none of the Clarks compare to the Road Hogs-left, they are very substantial, worn them every day to work for 5 months and they are just starting to give a little:
Must get a pair of these Oberons:
Received my Clarks dessert boot in Oakwood yesterday, not sure how much they are in UK but £50 off Amazon US
Not as dark as I hoped but they are very nice for the price and will be my daily wearers I now save my Church Chukkas for best

Like my Clarks originals and have a pair of Cola desert boots at the momnet. Been wearing them for years.
I like Clarks shoes - there is a factory outlet in Bridgend that has an occasional sale so I tend to buy 2 or 3 pairs at a time and fiortunately there are usually quite a few pairs left at size 11

I bottled these in the end as not sure the 'vivid' orange as its described would be something I like long term.
However, thanks to the thread and me searching again, I've ended up ordering a pair of these each
Managed to get the leathers for £59 (£20 off) and bought the suede from Clarks as couldn't find anywhere else with exact same version (seems to be a slightly different brown to others out there). 10% quidco though so got £6.90 to come back
Thanks for starting the thread!
You can't beat a Clarks original

I've had many pairs in the past. Now bored of them and their look
