Thanks for posting the trailer. Looks brilliant just added to my love film account.
[refuse to believe it's better than mesrine, will check it out though
got myself a signed cabin in the woods poster :)[/QUOTE]
Itīs different, Mesrine had better developed characters, but then it was 2 films
Thanks for posting the trailer. Looks brilliant just added to my love film account.
Saw "Flight" - it was quite good. Anything with Denzel Washington usually turns out OK IMO.
Also saw "The next 3 days" on DVD - enjoyed that too. Though I can't quite get to liking Russell Crowe for some reason.
Watched Django Unchained last night. Thought it was fantastic, best thing Tarantino has done since Pulp Fiction.
Rotten weather here this afternoon so gave Zero Dark Thirty a watch which was also very good.
just finished watching The Grey with liam Neelson really enjoyed it
Just watched Soulboy AGAIN, I must say it's not a bad film, but the music is.....well...............on another level.
Dare I say - On A Magic Carpet Ride.
Best I've seen recently is IN BRUGES - bloody brilliant wee film, equally sad and absolutely hilarious.
Mega shark v crocosaurus and another one called sharktopus these are on skyfy regular and i,m told they are based on true stories.
Yes, very enjoyable.
Recently watched;
Lawless - really liked it and watched it twice.
Dredd - was ok, as as sit and just let it happen type - not too much to it, but fairly fast action.
Spiderman I preferred to the earlier examples.
Not too many films have stood out this year.
It's just a matter of time...
Saw Dredd the other night and was a little let down, after the hype I may have been expecting too much, just your average action movie imo
Another vote for Django Unchained - awesome bit of Tarantino gore, with a punchy story to boot.
Watched Flight last night - a different movie, very watchable and a decent enough story.
The type of film Woody Allen used to make..........funny
We watched Zero dark thirty last night, a reasonable effort, but not brilliant.
I watch Django Unchained last night and Could Atlas today.
Completely different but both very, very good.
Django could have been half an hour shorter, but Cloud Atlas needed all of the time.
I'll be explaining Cloud Atlas a lot to the missus in the next week.
Saw Argo- brilliant. Well worth a watch.
Watched Rockers again recently.. great Jamaican flick about a struggling artist.
Went to see Django Unchained last night. If Sam Peckinpah had made Blazing Saddles it would have turned out very much like DU.
Saw Django Unchained last night. Yet another brilliant Tarantino movie IMO.
I watched Argo last night.
Fine, but forgettable.
The sad person I am noticed Ben Affleck's character wearing a Rolex Deepsea Sea Dweller. Yet this film was based in the early 80s when the watch hadn't been made.
Watched Panic In The Streets last night on tv. Quite good in a 1950s-speaking-very-fast kind of way. Barbara Bel Geddes was hot in her day.
Really enjoyed "The Catechism Cataclysm", a dark (pitch black?) absurdist comedy.

anyone seen the sessions ? heard good things, going to watch it tonight
Saw "The Rite" last night. Not my kind of movie, and not as good as "The Exorcist" IMO, but quite enjoyed it against all odds.
Just watched this on the basis of the recommendation here. Very good! I liked it very much. Its a relatively conventional narrative and in some respects there are few surprises... but I found it more enjoyable than Mesrine, for example. Surperb cast and well put together.

No, I did not watch a good movie tonight, instead I watched a movie called "bait", a low budget 3D shark flick, two really good 3D bits in a otherwise dire movie.
The Humanoid from 1979 was well received for my 'Crap Movie Night' last night. It's like cheap Netto rehash of Star Wars with Jaws from Bond as the hero. The Darth Vadar Guy is a bit too S&M for my liking!
I saw Silver Linings Playbook the other night. Not what i expected at all from the tv adverts. Great cast, Jennifer Lawrence was superb, the last thing i saw her in was The Hunger Games, and it was a shock seeing her go from cute teenager to experienced feisty woman in the space of a couple of years.
Great date film, 2 thumbs up.
Watched Dredd on blu ray. Loved it again. Buy it and support it so we can see this iconic British comic in the cinemas for a second instalment
Seven Psychopaths- is pretty good fun.
Django Unchained- was a wee bit of a let down but saved by some fantastic performances (Sam L Jackson -in particular- was just brilliant)
Les Mizz -The Glums- just sucked -what- a gigantic pile of poo!
End of watch- was superb.
Cloud Atlas- Weird but very interesting and well worth watching.
Pitch Perfect- Wonderful fun movie +my kids 11 and 12 just LOVED it.
Gangster squad- OK but it would be just as good on disc I suspect unlike Life of PI, Skyfall and the Hobbit which are 'must see in the cinema' jobs (and are all great movies -Yes- even Skyfall which was way better than I had anticipated).
Cheers
Joe

Just watched lawless. Excellent film. Tom hardy plays a cracking role. Worth watching lads :)
Went to see Lincoln this weekend - great film but heavy going...I'd call it educational rather than entertaining. People walked out of the cinema during it.
Django Unchained - entertaining, really quite funny, great music (as ever with Tarantino) and lots of spaghetti western references. Nice to see Leonardo playing against type too, but Waltz stole the show as the 'good German', perhaps making amends for his character in Inglorious Basterds.
Watched Zero Dark Thirty a couple of weeks ago; I thought it was very good.
Last night we watched the final episode of A Perfect Spy - the BBC serialisation from the 80s. Not as gripping as Tinker, Tailor/Smiley's People which was the initial prompt for the DVD purchase but a good story nonetheless and very much in the same idiom. Again a story that is helped by having the time and space (7 x 50 min episodes) to develop but, God, how grey the 70s and 80s seem. I had thought that this was made around 1980 and was quite surprised to see 1987 as the production date.
I watched The Godfather for the 1st this morning - outstanding, i also recently watched The deer hunter, depressing and overly long but still excellent.
The magic of belle isle.
Saw Django Unchained on Saturday - I'd give it 7/10
Andy
Wanted - Damasko DC57
Just watched Looper as I missed it on the cinema. Excellent film thoroughly enjoyed it. Time travel fries your brain.
