Glycine are a great brand and very good value for money. A good starter watch if ever there was one!! :)
bought this on a whim last year when visiting Neil at Chronomaster
Don't wear it a lot myself, but its been a good intro to proper watches for my 3 sons who take turns to wear it "carefully" at weekends. Despite its size it looks good even on my 12 year old's wrist (probably because he normally sports a giant G Shock !!)
Anyone else introducing their kids to this disease ???

I can't any more. Had to sell them to finance a Comex. Worth it though :thumbup:Originally Posted by dandanthewatchman

^I'm really liking the Airman 9 8)
Here's my smaller Airman 18:
My friend has just bought one from the states it's due v soon. He wants a rubber strap for it. Any idea where is best to find one?

If you are French (or Swiss-French), it's Glee-scene.
I've been wearing mine all week :

I think my next Glycine will be from the Incursore line. The PVD Cali is especially tempting (web pic):
I don't think my 16 yo daughter could get away with my LCC 3000
BTW - The T-Touch is the 'bigger' Expert
Glycine are hugely underrated as a brand ... As someone once said to me, Glycine is the watch enthusiast's best kept secret :) I have a Lagunare 3837 and it's a definite keeper.
But it's time will come...
WOW...I really have been missing out on some super looking watches....I've never really looked at Glycine
I think I'll have to keep my eye out for one of these...they look very cool (my bank manager will love me!!!)
Really nice, eta movements and awesome styling!!
The Eugene Mylan is one of my favourite all time watches. There was a gold plated version with the same dial on here for months a couple of years ago which I really lusted after, but just as I'd save up enough to buy it, it was sold to somebody else.
They are fabulous looking pieces, a sort of 'civvy' CAF.
Surprised there are no pics of the combat sub '11. Anyone?

Sweet, thanks! But that is the old combat sub with cathedral hands. Was kind of wondering if readers here have the newer combat sub '11. Many variations available, here a stock picture. Hands changed and dial also. A shame the crown went but I like the lack of numerals.

Glycine used to be real value for money. Don't know how pricing is these days.
Airman 46...
Love the combat range, purchased a quartz one as a gift for some not into watches, they love it.
Here's my only Glycine:
I had an Airman 17, very well made, but very big. There is a dealer on ebay, http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/martyns456/ he is based in Lithuania sells them new at a big discount including a dealer stamped warranty card. I bought my Airman 17 brand new on a bracelet for about £1200, Neil at Chronomaster sells them for about £3000.
Superb looking watches and a good thread showing them off. My next watch will be from one of the smaller brands and I've just written GLYCINE in capital letters in my file. The combat 6 auto is pretty tasty.
I'm a big fan of Glycine, especially the newer designs.
Here's my combat sub auto.
It really pains me to say this, but none of them really jump out at me and say "hey buy me". Some of them are ok, but it's not anything I think I would enjoy wearing unfortunately. Sad face smiley :(
Quite a number on eBay but many are hideously priced.
Resurrected, because I'd be interested in more thoughts about Glycine (especially the Lagunare 1000 models).
That's the one i would like to wear.
I was not very fan of Glycine watches except their famour airman.
But not sure to be very comfortable with the 24 hour dial.
This combat sub is simple , not too big , drilled lungs and very thin for a diver watch.
Maybe one day .
Wear it in good health mate
My combat sub. Soon to be surplus to requirements!
I sent my Incursore off this week for a service as the winder was starting to make a bit of noise. At 46mm it's a big unit, but wears no bigger than some of my smaller watches. It's worn in rotation with some others so after all these years it's still in fairly good condition.
Fish
Here's mine.
I bought it on here and bought it a new strap from Pav...
