Believe it or not, Sean in the kiosk at Piccadilly Tube station is very good.
Worked on a few of my high-end pieces and also restored my Grandfathers old Omega.
He can be a bit brusque but a decent chap all the same.
Martin.
My buddy's Graham needs some work and possibilty parts too. I do dread the idea of sending him to one of the high street jewelers as they will likely send the watch to the manufacturer and overcharge him. Any pointer is greatly appreciated. Thanks gents.

there are 3 tech's in wempe, i went in and spoke to them last week, you may need to wait a while when they do it!
i asked about pressure testing my vintage rolex's, they said they'd do it for free!
Wempe, really? never pegged them to be the friendly free testing type

I would be tempted to send the watch to one of the people often recommended here. Genesis watches seem to be highly regarded. I'm sure someone will come along with the correct contact details.
The guys at the Antique Watch Company in Clerkenwell are very good. They've repaired a few watches for me.
