Surprised anyone would want to nick such a thing, yet alone twice.
To get a $500,000 watch stolen on two occasions must be annoying..........to his insurance company-

Maybe he didn't like it :)
thats alot..... of money
Stolen but hotel room not broken into
“Don’t look back, you’re not heading that way.”
Although that's not how it would work, suppose the insurance only had to cover the cost to the manufacturer of making a replacement - how much do we think that would be?
Less than a hundred quid, I would think.Originally Posted by fiddler69

So easy to read...... well unless its 10.10 , 3.15 7.25 or any time in the middle.... but it floats!
I guess the thief was not a maid in this case. Bit stupid to leave it in your room imho.Originally Posted by Chinnock
I never understand what people who steal these things are planning to do with them? They are so unique that I would not have throughout you would just hock it down a local pawn brokers or walk around your local asking if anyone wants to buy a genuine $500K watch for €100 and a pint :drunken:
Perhaps just a pint and packet of crisps.Originally Posted by eduk

That is awful. Some criminals have no taste.
1 phugly watch, lets hope its lost forever as it makes my eyes bleed, hopefully it fell out of his tennis shorts while taking a dump so it got flushed away with all the other shiyt!! :D
Emperors new clothes indeed. They were also so light they floated on water!
That's a lot of money for a watch I wouldn't want (don't like the layout, however it is extremely light). I'd prefer the USD 500.000 to buy me some other watches
And that's the end of that chapter....

Yet another case of a journalist hearing that a watch has x jewels so presuming it is 'jewel encrusted'.
I am more than a bit :? :( about the amount of negativity here.
Here is a genuinely nice guy who´s luxury watch is lifted from his hotel room.
How would yoú feel?
I'd love an RM027!
im sure hes a lovely guy, and im not slaughtering the guy in any way, the fact he does not pay for his watches and hes a multi multi millionaire softens the blow of feeling sorry for the bloke, id be amazed if he was not fully insured and or will be given a replacement pretty soon.Originally Posted by Huertecilla

It's the same with the Bubba Watson Richard Mille, hodinkee did an article going on about how great it was, they take pictures and then go on about 'oh but it wasn't cleaned', to try and explain the fact that it was suffering severe corrosion, due to it being made out of magnesium alloy, a substance you would never make a watch out off due to its reaction with things like water or sweat!

at the end of the day its worked, even stolen it gets attention and were here talking about it, looking at the guys post above reading how the case corrodes due to sweat etc, it would not suprise me if its just a good way to take the watch out of the public eye, stolen????Originally Posted by esm

The media say Richard Mille 'lent' him the watch to wear for the French Open...........
Why don't Casio lend him a watch for Wimbledon?
This doesn't sound strictly the truth- ie: I imagine Nadal agreed to be 'lent' the watch in return for a few hundred grand a year.

Frankly i have about as much interest in either scenario as i would putting my man bits on a BBQ.
The 'lent' thing really grates. Richard Mille is a load of bollox, king of fashion brands and the sooner they die off the better.
