I ordered a PRS-18Q yesterday. Mine will be shipped via UPS to Oman.
Which will arrive first???
I looked long and hard for a do it all beater, kept coming back to the prs-18... just can't be beat.

I am a big fan of the assymetrical case
I just received mine. I put it on a Nato YAB strap, and I am wearing it. Looks really cool on the YAB. :D
wearing mine as well, probably can use it to pound nails.
Mine also on it's way. Finally ordered today, and it's already been despatched! Can't wait. :D
I ordered mine last night
But will have to wait a few extra days due to the double bank holiday :(
I also ordered one of Eddie's plain/smooth rubber straps for when I want a change from the nato.
Can't wait - pics will follow on arrival.
Maybe not beaten, but it could be perfectly complemented by a PRS-17 reissue, hopefully with the 1988 issue dial this time. :)Originally Posted by jtbold

Anyhoo, the 18Q is an absolute cracker. I was going to wax lyrical about various aspects of the watch but I decided against it. Instead I will simply say that I cannot find anything to dislike or pick fault with so I'll just leave it at that :)
I know you've all seen an 18Q before but I thought I'd share a couple of my pics - I think I got the choice of nato right too, going for black with PVD fittings (I've already got all of Eddie's other natos).
For anyone pondering the purchase of an 18Q - just hit the button, you won't be disappointed.
Cheers Eddie

About time that I got something interesting as a daily wearer (currently snzh55). Undecided about auto or quartz - does the auto suffer from the issue of having a date change spot but no date when you pull out the crown? (actually does the quartz?)
Thanks.
The quartz certainly does that, I'm not sure about the auto. Though I've never found it to be an issue.Originally Posted by JeffCansell
Not remotely an issue for me either. All of my other watches are autos or hand winds so I wanted to daily convenience of a quartz and this is spot on.Originally Posted by dowsing

Yep, that's the one. This Di Modell carbon arrived this morning and I think it's pretty much perfect for the watch:
