Very nice shots...I was going to post pics of some I had taken of my 15300ST, but don't think I'll bother now!
I was altering the bracelet so I decided to take a few movement shots of my AP 15300. It's a relatively simple movement, but the rotor is particularly attractive, and in my non-expert opinion, the movement looks well-finished.
I'm very enamoured with the detailing of the watch.

Yep that's a beauty, simply styled elegant movement.
I love these! movement looks fantastic, great shots :D
Great shots, and whilst I'm not a fan of AP watches in general the attention to detail on the face is equisite 8)
Nice pictures, particularly like the dial detail!!!

Lovely pics, what camera/lens outfit did you use?
Those are a joy to look at, thanks! That close-up of the dial is really stunning.
Very nice indeed!
Class.
great photos of a nice movement
Thanks, chaps.
The dial really is something special, not only does it give a wonderful dynamic 3-d effect, it's also very legible - something that can be an issue with the more unusual dial designs, especially when there are highly polished hands and indices. With the RO the dial just makes them more visible in bright light.
I've tried to capture it here (didn't quite come out as I wanted though).
Beautiful.
Great shots of a superbly finished piece of engineering.
Great photos :)
Great pics. Does the AP logo at 12 "float" above the dial a bit?
Very very nice and a classic.
It's just a matter of time...
I think that's partly the effect of getting in so close with the lens, but it's also the 3-d effect the dial gives - it is textured with the indices applied to it - the AP is perhaps slightly higher. The overall effect is what is so great about the dial :)Originally Posted by Bloobird
The AP logo is a great feature that they've decided to change on the new 15400 - a backwards move in my opinion (even though it is more true to the original RO).
Great shots of a great watch. You make the AP more and more appealing. Always thought the watch was good looking but didn't realise quite how good it looks.
Never seen an AP movement before, but I do like it, simple and classic. Great shots too.
Nice shots, that rotor is superb
Amazing shots - such attention to detail on the AP movement ... Absolutely stunning 8)

Sweet....and no hard feelings that I was on the way to try that watch on when you bought it .......only because I was then able to buy your 5001. A watch I'm totally smitten by....but I still can't get that RO out of my mind and your amazing photos not helping !
Super pictures.
The back looks just fantastic - you could wear it either way round and still look wonderful.
Here's one of mine.....

The 3228 is a good choice though - it's another watch where the dial has that special detail.Originally Posted by learningtofly
