I favour Natos in hot climates. Make sure you wash them regularly though :D
Rubber is nahhhhhhhhh good at all....
Farrr tooooo sweaty....
Whats the best strap to reduce the sweat ??
cheers SPEEDY

Bracelet.
Failing that, good quality (ie Timefactors) NATO.
The braided NATO types are pretty cool to wear
Canvas
Mesh for sure
I favour a metal bracelet or a NATO strap in The Hot Weather. Both have the additional benefit of being very easy to rinse.
What hot weather?
Maybe bracelet is better. :D
 Piece of string around your neck  :blackeye:
Bracelet is my choice.
This
Bracelet or Rhino/Zulu for me. Mostly bracelet. Regards.
NATOs on weekly rotation(or less)!

NATO, absorbant anything else sticky, but as previously said nato and steel can be rinsed
NATO - quick drying, washable. Definitely not rubber. Titanium bracelets also work well...
I prefer a NATO, easy to swap when whet or dirty, summer-colors available...cheap.
In case a watch doesn't look on a NATO (is that possible at all) a steel bracelet is my second choice.
Would have to say the braided Natos, they are really comfy as well :)
Yep, bracelet.Originally Posted by andy tims
I like rubber straps. Maybe try natural rubber instead of some of the other compounds out there?
Also nato for me.
Bracelet or mesh.
Rob
It depends how hot your talking. I would have thought a bracelet may get uncomfortably hot in very hot weather like the car you can fry eggs on.
So saying that I would say the woven nato just because it looks good and is more substantial than a standard nato. Though I haven't owned either.
For holidays I take two or three natos for water and beach, and wash them as necessary, plus a mesh for going out and about. Works great.
Bracelet for me!
Definitely another vote for NATO here, they are easy to swap out when they get dirty/sweaty/soaked, don't bake in the sun, cheap, cheerful and secure, what more could you need? :D
Prefer bracelet in pretty much every weather.
Well, with all my respect, question is wrong:
What is hot? HOW hot?
Hot always is coupled with something else, i.e hot AND:
- dry
- wet
- windy
- rainy
- dusty
-you-name-it
Besides, Greece is not that hot, so, based on my personal experience in some of the hottest, wettest spots (add here also thousands of flying, jumping and crawling insects) - Mesh, canvas and - you will be surprised - impregnated Bund

PPS Thanks for suggesting the Tropical/Braided/Woven nato. I think it will be a good solution, IF I can find one.
NATOs in hot weather breathe, look great and ar secure.
mesh or shell cordovan straps..
For me, it will depends on the occassion, Bracelet for business/formal and Nato for active/sport...
I find wearing one of these keeps everything pretty cool 8)
NATO/zulu, canvas or mecha - they all are good. Choice is yours.
Bracelet for me. Nato becomes sweaty in 10 mins. Never tried rubber though, hope they don't soak sweat :D
Gasgasbones is working for me. 24C in N Ireland...
+1 on mesh :)
bracelet in the summer and leather in wintertime is what I was always taught.
Reviving this old thread because of this heatwave we're going through (in the UK at least).
Also followed the bracelet in the summer and strap in the winter rule but even today I can't bear to wear my bracelet watch.
Might pop it in the fridge before wearing it again.
Any tips from anyone from a hot place and no air conditioner?
I converted to rubber straps two year ago and wear them all year round.

My bonklip is light and breathable, also easy to adjust if needed.
Bracelet for me every time when it's hot
So hot today I had to change watches and put the strap on this. Rubber is the worst in this heat but this Seiko MarineMaster strap is almost plastic and doesn't rub.
Titanium ftw

I'm finding the Erika's MN straps most comfortable as the world around me melts. They don't seem anywhere near as sweaty as a rubber strap and I largely avoid bracelets as my wrists seem to inflate markedly once it's over 25 degrees outdoors.
Only just replaced a leather with this today to see how it goes. I'm not a nato man but this victorinox nato seems to do a job. Well today it has.

NATO, without a doubt.
