I would have asked first TBH.
Has anyone had any dealings with this company, based in Tamworth but with the web page of http://www.capitalwatchandjewellery.com
They took my money sunday, but no watch as yet! Promised RMSD by 13:00hrs
Getting a Tad worried :? :?

When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
int hindsight a wonderful gift, my arse is sore Ive been kicking it that hard
Never heard of them but at least they advertise postal addresses and it looks one of the more genuine watch sites.
Please tell us you didn't pay online without checking them out?!
I'd try phoning if you are worried.
Surely you've called them between Sunday and now Mick? If they said RMSD that's next day... If they took money Sunday, posted Monday it should have been with you Tues? Did they send a tracking number?
Rob
There is no mention of when the watch was posted, so RMSD is obviously only next day after the watch has been posted. It is only Wednesday so I wouldnt be too concerned just yet. As its a business its quite possible it takes them a day or 2 to process orders.
Good point. They seem to have a shop in Spain, maybe it has to come to the UK shop first...
Still, if it was me I'd be calling them for an update!

BAD news there too, debit card :cry:Originally Posted by cmcm3

When I order stuff I very rarely get a tracking number, the only company that springs to mind of late has been Isofrane.
You might find the watch will just arrive, and if there is an issue then they will have the tracking number to find out if it has been delivered etc.
Ring them in the morning but dont sweat it just yet :D
When buying watches there is often no need to rush or be impetuous. The 'fever' often hits early and hard in the hunt but in reality, research, building up knowledge and having some contacts beats everything in my book :DOriginally Posted by Yorkshiremadmick

Nowhere on that site is there a mention of next day delivery. It just says "Insured National Delivery available at no extra cost." so I wouldn't sweat it just yet.
I know, the guy called me Monday night, apologised for not shipping it that day, technical hiccup??? Stating that it would go Tuesday RMSD by 13:00 so hence the reason I've started to flap like a headless chicken I knowOriginally Posted by Cannop
But thanks to all for your positivity I'm feeling a lot more confident of a good outcome, even if it does have a non standard rolex bezel and its got no papers :blackeye: I am sure the good lady will love it..... If I live long enough to get it..... all the worry n stress

few hours before the train crash
Let us know when it landed. :?
Update: I have been assured today that it went out Tuesday RMSD ... He is going to check the tracking number when he gets back in the office.
He said thanks for advising him, he can claim refund from Royal Mail. :?
So all seems kosher
Watches are not covered by RMSD...........Originally Posted by Yorkshiremadmick

For such a high value item you should have been given a tracking number and certain exclusions apply to RMSD and that is high value watches. I would get on the phone to him again.
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Perhaps they have a Parcel Pro account. Think positive... :)
The watch is £2200 so should be covered under the £2500 limit.
Don't Panic Mr Manwaring Don't panic......
It's doom all doom
Don'tcha just love Dads Army!!!

From Capital Watch.
Evening Michael,
Sorry but I have just got in from a very busy day in London. The phone hasnt stopped and customers had a lot more to sell than I had thought which resulted in me having to get more and more money to buy them.
The watch has been sent without doubt but after speaking to Monda she has informed me that it was picked up late from the premises along with several others. This could have resulted in it going the day after. She has checked and said the automated system suggested that delivery was still in progress.
I have every confidence that the watch will arrive tomorrow at latest. Obviously I apologise with regard to the delay. If I had known I would have had it brought over to you as I see you are in Coventry which is very near to us.
I am sure your wife will be extremely happy with the watch and I hope it has not spoilt the occassion.
Regards
Wayne.
SO fingers crossed its not another stalling tactic.
An aside about RMSD and delay compensation:-Originally Posted by Yorkshiremadmick
If a RMSD item is delayed beyond the due delivery date then either the sender or the recipient can claim for the postage cost (i.e. the RMSD compensation for delayed delivery). If both claim at the same time then the sender automatically gets priority.
In my view, in the case of an item bought from a vendor, the customer has paid for the RMSD postage (even if it's included in the product cost) and so should be the one to claim. Note that, as the customer/recipient, you can claim even without the assistance of the sender. The proof you need in order to claim for delay is the packaging showing the postage label and this should be sent to RM with the claim form.
So the lesson is: Don't tell the vendor when there's been a delay with RMSD (assuming there really has been a delay). Just go ahead and claim the compensation that is rightly yours since you, the customer, have in fact paid for it.
So.......... Has it landed mate?
Sounds like they are trying to do the right thing even if they're a little sh1t in the communication department.

UPDATE
It's landed and is beauuuuuuuutiful

Site won't let me upload from iPhone and I don't trust place like photo bucket etc.Originally Posted by sniper-sam

If that make sense
You don't trust Photobucket but you will hand over good money to a company for a watch before digging into them a bit? Yep, as per your moniker, you sure are mad. :DOriginally Posted by Yorkshiremadmick
Scarto
I know I coc&ed up with not checking them. But all good. Places like photo bucket want email addresses etc and sell them on. I could say that here is the same as I bank transferred money to a complete stranger to get me a sea dweller!! Sometimes you have to trust..... I was panicking over late delivery.
But I hate spam e-mails and junk mails. I don't do much with sharing on the internet :?
Never had a problem with photobucket myself. Google seems to have a good spam filter though, very few ever make it to my inbox.
Glad your watch landed, better late than never.
Yep my Gmail account has loads of spam, 40/day very few make it through
Thanks
