For those interested, I went for this:
I'm looking for a strap for my Speedy and can't decide which to go for. I'd considered a Nato or a velcro strap but I'm not convinced and need some inspiration, so show me what you've got 8)
For those interested, I went for this:
Very nice.
di modell rallye.

That looks brilliant! I can see myself changing rather regularly :shock:Originally Posted by markblack

Omega corfam
A Speedy on a strap is a complete no, no for me, although I think you can get away with a NATO - especially the GasGasBones version.
My personal preference was a shark mesh...(although watch & mesh now departed)...
Gabarro Racing Strap / Bob Davis butterfly deployment
Great post and some great pics to inspire anyone wanting a speedie (me included)
Always liked it on a bracelet but have to say the rallye option really suits it.
I sometimes wear mine on a brown Hirsch Medici.
Very nice Ed White, or perhaps it should be the Gene Cernan in that setting  .Originally Posted by hhhh
Do the 19mm Di Modell's come with the single 'prong (?)' buckle then? I know the 20mm have the two. Or have you added your own buckle? If so, any dramas?
Been thinking about a 19mm one for my Glycine (poorman's Heuer Camaro).
Golden brown hirsch heavy calf
Omega racing (calf with holes!) with omega deployant
Black NATO from Eddie
Hirsch carbon
Dark brown alligator
Hirsch Camelgrain - understated look for the 'quiet Speedie'

Or, as seems to be the popular choice, Speedie Pro on a Di-Modell Rallye

I have never seen a speedy with a silver finish bezel, that looks very nice with the brown strap
Well spotted.Originally Posted by Emeister
My mistake, should have looked at the picture more closely before posting. I have the Speedy on a Di Modell now but that picture actually shows it on a vintage Omega Corfam strap and period Omega buckle. Fantastic strap and it would still be on it if I hadn't swapped it onto a Seamaster for one night out and then lost the watch somehow during the course of the evening.
I think the Di Modell is only available with the two pronged buckle unfortunately.
Original post now corrected.
Does anyone have their Speedmaster on a Bond NATO strap? I reckon it'd look pretty awesome...

If you don't mine me asking what did the Omega strap and deployment set you back? Very nice combination.

One more which I didn't have a pic of until now. Can't actually remember the name of this one. Its a bob something! (deployant strap on OEM deployant)
I gotta say, I think it works personally! :)Originally Posted by RossC

Looks best on black nato IMO, I believe tha nato makes the speedy a bit bigger on the wrist. A good thing, in my book. :)Originally Posted by chicaneuk

Thanks mate. Killer look. I have just done a deal on a Speedy on bracelet but I plan on putting it onto a similar setup.Originally Posted by ManCityDG
Ta very much - it's a really good quality strap for the price (£23). Combined with a 'period' Omega buckle it looks the veritable middle joint of a bee's legsOriginally Posted by jellytots

I had mine on a strap but just didn't get used to it.
Speedy should be on a bracelet, period.
Original stainless steel, rallye or all black nato.
Love how the Hirsch meets the watch. Very nice.Originally Posted by Saxon007

Use a Morellatto Techno on my Speedy Pro.
Heres a couple of terrible pics from my iphone...
I like most straps on the Speedy but black aligator with white stiching is maybe extra nice?
Like that Morellatto techno also, thinking of getting one of thoose for my Longines Admiral..
MK2 Exotic on a tapered Rodania Rally with signed buckle
For me, the Hirsch Medici works best on the Speedy's
I really miss my Speedy but after two I faced the sad realisation it was just a touch too big for me :crybaby:
For me, there is only the dark brown (or black) Omega genuine alligator padded leather deployant strap. Not cheap at £220+, but great looking:
I agree. Love how the strap meets the watch. Perfect.Originally Posted by MattOmega

Here's a rally strap from Heuerboy, with enlarged centre holes (thanks to my Draper hole punch)
Edit, here's a better picture of the same thing on my Zodiac. Strap was £20, Draper tool less than a tenner

You could order from Omega direct since its their strap and deployment. Or go to an official AD. But it's going to cost you about £500 for both.
Just in reference to my post above, I only just realised that the hole pattern is different on those straps. Same source, must have been from a different batch.
