    Omega "Baby Ploprof"... bloody inconvenient!

I took this lovely watch in a trade a couple of days ago, and as discussed with my partner in crime at the time my intention was to flip it in order to realise the cash from my Airwolf. Like many things in life, though, it seems to be a little less simple than that.

The 120m really is a fantastic watch... very wearable, extremely comfortable (particularly on the Isofrane you see in the photos) and something that I'd really like to keep. To be honest, it's not even that it fits with the rest of my collection especially well - it's just... well, it's hard to fault the watch in any way at all. Tricky, that!

Anyway, this one is an original 1977 movement that was married up with NOS case, hands and dial. The package was assembled (and the movement serviced) by Steve at Rite Time about a year ago, and it looks absolutely brand spanking new.

    Damn this watch!

Surely if it doesn't "fit in", then that is a good thing to give some variation. Very nice it looks too.

That's a lovely example. What's the dimensions on that please, specifically the lug to lug length?

I really do love the SM120. It has almost perfect proportions IMO.

Smashing Tony but it would look much better on my wrist and would also be able to share the watch case with a big brother Ploprof from 1971 so it could learn a few tricks from an old man...you know it makes sense.. :D

That's my old watch, a lovely piece, albeit a tiny bit small for me. I wish my photos made it look like that!

Try it on the Omega mesh - it looks great, and is ultra comfy.

    Enjoy

Great pictures Tony, and a very attractive watch.
These are so much nicer than the full size monstrosity.

Can't see it staying long of course....

You are mad if you want to sell this watch and buy a Breitling Airwolf instead.

On the other hand, if you are going to sell it, do it in april 8)

I completely agree with all the good things you said about the watch (and the combination with the Isofrane, by the way). Your photography skills top notch as ever.

There's a Hero post within 48 hours of the first posting for this watch.

So it seems, as I was reading this post, the watch was being smothered in bubble wrap instead of 'love'.

    Look, you lot...

I took this lovely watch in a trade a couple of days ago, and as discussed with my partner in crime at the time my intention was to flip it in order to realise the cash from my Airwolf.
If that's hard to understand, drop me a line and I'll try to paraphrase it for you ;)
