Not my poison.............
Too big and numb.
and this one looks to be the best I've seen
It's a UTS 4000m Diver. Not yet released [I think]
Some of you are bound to know all about the brand but I stumbled upon this particular beauty whilst surfing.
Stunning
Not my poison.............
Too big and numb.
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
looks worthy as a hammer. (no pun intended)

Looks very thick indeed...
I bought a couple of UTS watches years ago.
One of them was the UTS 3000 Pro Diver.
Quality is simply staggering
Herr Spinner is very nice to talk to and do business with to boot.

More to the point - if it had, it should not and a case in point for those who do not understand the laws of physics..... :wink:Originally Posted by ralphy

Agree on outstanding build quality. I have always foudn the lugs an acquired taste especially when a rubber or leather strap
I'd wear it!!
what sort of price is it?
I think that's a Mark V helmet. 8)Originally Posted by WingTsun

It will certainly give you neutral buoyance. :)
Some of their "normal" watches look good, but that's just a bit bonkers really.

Nice paperweight that is:lol:
Pun intended? :-DOriginally Posted by w2w
Took me a while to figure out what that pink thing is on the crown at 2... makes sense but... couldn't they have gone with something nicer? That looks like a cap jewel that couldn't find its way inside the watch...
The world's steel reserves will suffer I reckon :) .
I've seen them all now, those lumps, perfectly engineered, no doubt, but still more of the same.
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
If you like your watches to look like a submarine hatch. I like chunky, but that's enormous!
Not my cup of tea I'm affraid, beauty in the eye of the beholder I guess. A watch like this will always split opinions.
I had a UTS 500m. I liked it, but I couldn't get the bracelet adjusted to my comfort. The head was too heavy for the UTS rubber strap. It was the
only watch I've ever had that was "attracted" to door frames due to the height.
I'd probably have another though...

haha I'll be as felt as a pancake at that depth but at least my watch will still be ticking!!

If it is anything like previous UTS offerings it will be of excellent quality and very well packaged. As ever looks and style are down to personal taste. I like the baby UTS but find it just too large. Bigger people than me will wear it (and this one) with a panache I cannot get near.
At least you'd have weapon if you found yourself going toe to toe/fin with a shark.Originally Posted by Daddelvirks

When I bought my first UTS, hardly anybody knew of UTS let alone bought them.
I can not remember the exact price I paid, but I got a very good deal after lenghty and pleasent talks with Herr Spinner about UTS and watches in general.

I like large watches but that looks too much.
I fear that you may find yourself leaning to one side and walking round in circles with one of those on your wrist :D

But do we know the weight of it (I haven't seen it documented anywhere - or if I have I've not noticed it)?

I'm intrigued whether the OP is a Submarine?
Might be just about ok in the shower...Originally Posted by jubbaa

Also, I have some reservations about modular cases on watches which are meant to spend time in seawater - corrosion could be an issue.
On another note, that is a superb watch photo in the OP!
Certainly not a beauty from that angle I'd say.

I'm not a fan, looks too chunky and agree with the comments the angle of the photo doesn't do the watch any favours.
I think, for example the Oris Pro diver is way more beautiful.
As with other watches, the quality of the UTS has to be held to be believed.
I simply can not stress enough, how incredibly smooth the operation of the UTS watches are. The workmanship, materials and quality that goes into the watch is staggering.
When operating the crowns of my hand made 3000 Pro Diver, I was simply blown away. Both crowns and the bezel turns so smooth and nice, that you have to try it out to believe it.
No simple cheap spring or ratchet in the bezel either. No, it turns via a system of ceramic ball bearings.
I will go out on a limb and state, that were there other names on the watch dial, the UTS would cost far more. The quality/workmanship is that good.
Totally agreed!Originally Posted by WatchScout

 Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder. The 3000 & 4000 sure are big watches
They can look rather overwhelming to some. :D
I would like to try out that 600m chrono though!Originally Posted by WatchScout

Yes, that does look a bit more... restrained in comparison.
I would buy the 4000 if I had not gone off the insane depth watches.
In a perfect world, Deano would sell me his custom UTS Commander. That is how ever not likely to happen.
BTW You mentioned, that the 3000 is an ugly beast. I will meet you half way and say, that it is very Teutonic. Not only in the quality department but also in regards to the look
I was just looking at their website and the 3000m isn't that big (42/43mm). Couldn't find out how thick it is, it says the case is 3,5mm thick??
The full lume dial version is really nice!
That's the crystal thickness, not the height of the case...Originally Posted by Kutusov

Quality stuff but too top heavy for my liking.
Love it, but then I have no taste.
What sort of price range are UTS offerings? Can't see any prices on their website. Presumably if you have to ask....
Nope, that's 5mm...Originally Posted by jwg663

OK, that's how thick the walls of the case are. So, if it's 43mm in outside diameter, the case thickness is 3.5mm x 2 = 7mm, which indicates 36mmOriginally Posted by Kutusov
inside diameter where the movement is. "Thickness" to me is the height of the watch from the back to the highest point of the crystal.
