Is it really worth it within the EU to choose a trip in regard to the watch shops at the airports with their little DF discounts? Just asking - maybe rather choose a city which is good for watches?
I have a return ticket to any airport in europe i want ( a gift from my company ). where should i go ?

EU or Europe?
Because you still get duty free in Norway and Switzerland :)
Which may sway your decision?

I have to say Geneva is fantastic for watches. I have spent lots of time walking around the shops annoying myself by looking at and trying on.
barcelona, outside the cathedral each sunday is a vintage watch market the traders are under marquees, i did not buy as i do not know much about watches, if you know your watches then off you go, they are also situated in a different part of the city on fridays, i did get one item for 20 euros for which i refused 100 for some time after coming home.
Kyiv
Amazing place and some fantastic watch dealers/shops.
They do like flash though, so not the best place for understated.
Another vote for Geneva here.
I've spent many a happy hour at the end of my skiing holidays over the years browsing round.
Excellent selection in the Rolex shop last time I was there(February)
Geneva... and London...
Which currency is in your favour?
I think some EU countries have a slightly different MSRP though...
I'd go with Geneva.....Basel isn't bad either, and Basel City is very nice and not bad for watches, but Zurich wins in my book for watches alone.
I would agree with Zurich. Beautiful city as well!
