Got one as a knock about watch (GW5600) and set my auto's against it. Useful watch to own but couldn't call myself a fan. If you do a search you'll find plenty of posts singing their praise.
I don't see alot of G-Shock treads here? Any G-Shock fans? Show me some wristshots

Try doing a Casio G Shock search. Plenty of fans here (a few misguided members hate them with a vengeance though  )
Wearing my GW5600 as I type this.

I've had a GW-9200 for some time and I can vouch for it. It's a great watch for the money. It also has some ABC functions. Great watch.

Are those three variations of the GW5600 or all identical?
It's a bit bigger and thicker than the Riseman but very comfortable to wear.Originally Posted by mihaixp

I've a GW5600 and a Riseman. Love them both.
Very capable watches for very little money.
Agreed - greedy. Two are the same. This is what is there - G shock wise (the Protrek is a PRW2000):Originally Posted by WatchScout
GW5600-1ER (X2 ) - a current model, freely available, and the default answer to anyones question as to what they should wear as a beater. Atomic and Solar.
The Spike Lee DW5000-SL - A limited anniversary edition from a few years ago. Simple module, no fancy atomic/solar.
A DW5600C - dating from 20 odd years ago
A DW5600E - an up to date reincarnation of the original DW5600C
Thanks.
One can never be too skinny....or have too many Gs! :P
The Mudman, tougher than a roughty tough thing being tough.
My only G but was told i couldn't be a proper WIS till i had owned one. I find its a bit smaller than i would like if im honest but does keep very accurate time to set my other watches by.
Had my G shock about 8 years and it's never let me Down with daily use and it does get hammered

I can just about see the variations on these but if I owned them and tried explaining the difference to my missus I think I'd get a frying pan across the back of my head for my troubles. :blackeye:Originally Posted by ASW1
I have 3 Atomic solars, Riseman, 5600 and a very nice negative display model I forget the name of. Like them all very much & use them to govern my Auto's.
Only complaint would be the snooze alarm on The Riseman is an arse to deactivate.
That photo's upsetting me no end - five times visible, and only two the same! Where's your OCD, man??? :wink:Originally Posted by ASW1
Only 2 at the moment a G-3011 and a Lungman DWG-100J-9.

Yes, I like G-Shocks.
Oooh, a MIMB gulfman!!
Every WIS should have a G, IMO anyway
Sadly the GX56 and Mudman have both since left my ownership but the 3000 makes a great beater and is also used to set my autos and handwinds to.
Yep.
My Speedy is back in the box and my old DW5600 is living on my wrist again at the moment.
Got a nice new 5600 in transit, due for delivery soon.
Have far too many classic 80's and early 90's G's, love the look of them 8) .
My GW-5000-1JF
Very nice watches. The MIMB Gulfman rules.Originally Posted by pastrana72

I'm up to 3 g's now and they get a lot of love whenever I wear them. Can't go wrong, bolder the better!
I recently got into G's.
Heres my wee collection started a couple of months ago.
As you can see the bug hit hard. Makes a nice change from the more conservative mechanical watches I've owned.
I love my multiband, solar G-Shock. I worry about all my other watches too much to wear them in certain circumstances. This is the only watch that I can actually call a "beater". Plus, it's always accurate - it's nice to have something to set all my other watches by. We'll see what lasts longer, the "tough solar" recharging, or the strap.
