    It's gorgeous 8)

I still kinda prefer the more modern version of the SD though

Stop hijacking my thread - just look at the pictures again.

Looks great, the only thing which bothers me on the SD is the cheapo looking clasp. I know it has prooven itself with reliability, but hey...it feels like it's manufactured from coke cans..

It's safe as houses, and try an Omega clasp from the same period ;)

Amazing pictures of a cool watch! Not to turn this into a photography thread but your pics have a 'brushed' look. Are they HDR?

Thanks, and no... I shoot them in Raw and then fine-tune the sharpness where necessary. The "brushed" look is possibly just the consequence of selective focus but I see what you mean.

Bearing in mind it's a genuine NOS Tropic 39 Superdome, it amused me too :)

Stunning example of a vintage Sea Dweller! Wear in good health (and then sell it to me please). :)

Thanks guys. Apparently there's only one that's been seen on the various forums that might give it a run for it's money (bring it on, Clay ;))

Thanks again. The photos did come out nicely, but it would be hard to screw up with the kind of subject matter that I'm lucky enough to have to hand!

Sorry - wasn't meaning to be obtuse. This is a pretty perfect example, and a couple of people have suggested to me that only Clayton (who hangs out at VFR/TRF) might have one as nice. I was throwing out a challenge ;)

No, I got you. I just thought it was a slightly strange thing to say. Don't get me wrong, your 1665 is a lovely example, but you still occasionally see NOS examples come up. Yours has lovely patina and has buffed up very nicely though. Your photos are fantastic, as always. :)

The older models are best, just a shame that the straps are a bit of a weak point
