    From Grail to Trinity

Just got these 2 Omegas back from STS. They did a great job, managing to successfully remove 2 very degraded seals from the Seamaster that had turned to oily mush. Phew! Definitely lesson learned to be cautious when looking at watches with rubber seals on dials!
The Marine Chronometer was losing buckets of time, and was not really doing the job. Now it looks great after a full bracelet rebuild and polish. Needless to say the mechanics have been cleaned it is running like a dream. Luckily the motor and module were fine.
The 16660 is the new arrival and 1st Rolex, i can now see the attraction, they do feel good. Lovely bezel action and a look that is very well proportioned.

The Marine Chronometer is forever engraved in my mind as the pan-ultimate icon of the quartz revolution. You’ve got a beauty there. Looks like it still has plenty of life in it.

Abraxus +1. A Marine Chronometer (1511) is definitely on the 'to do' list. Is that a 1511 or a 1516?

    Very nice Trio indeed ,

Is there a reason that you reversed the Crown position on the Seamaster 1000m?

    All the best,
    Vic :)

Sorry - I thought the ploprof was the one with the orange button, and this one was was the baby? My mistake!

That TICK is taking some getting used to

no problem, your right the Ploprof is the one with the button and 600m rating, and the baby has the same hands but 120m rating, then there is the 1000m

which mega quartz do you have? i assume the marine chrono too which one?

    All in good time ;)

Do they have a proper lapping machine at STS now?

:D A wonderful trio, the very classic diver, the 70's different looking diver and the massive amazingly accurate quartz beauty. 8) Would definitely like to own the two Omega's, not really into to Rolex myself though.

no you still need to go to Bienne for that, but the Marine Chr. can be polished easily and the Seamaster didn't need it.
