Does it ride like Judith Chalmers. It certainly looks like her
After a wait of three and a half months i finally got my hand on my new car BMW 1M Coupe in Valencia Orange.
It looked stunning in the dealership:
It certainly turned a few heads on the way home I tell you :bounce:
Right that's it from me for now, i'm off for another drive.

Respect the past, live the present, protect the future
i bet its a hoot to drive - have fun!
You have big balls paying £40k my friend!
Enjoy your "modern E30 M3"
Very nice car, dont like the bold colour, but then I'm getting on.
Personally I'd have gone for a second-hand M3 but I doubt you'll be disappointed. Enjoy. :)
very nice 8)
was looking at one of these myself. Didn't realised they were 40k though :(
I'd drive it and I'd drive that colour as well, congratulations.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
savage, well done would love one! 8)
Congrats on the new car! :)
I've been thinking about one of these as an option when the time comes to replace my Z4M Coupe with "something more practical".
Having bought mine new and suffered the pain of depreciation, I've vowed it will be secondhand...
So give me a shout when you're bored with yours!!! :D
Congratulations. I have a less exciting 1 series coupe but would love one like yours. Enjoy it.
Nice car and stunning colour. It's definitely out of my price range though. I had a look at the ordinary 1 coupe 18 months ago but when you spec it up with options the price gets close to Porsche territory. I enjoyed the review of the 1M on Fifth Gear as I've driven most of the roads featured inc. Loch Ewe and the Beleach Na Ba. If you get the time, I would recommend a trip to the Highlands in your new toy before the autumn.
Congrats, i really like these. For the money i don't think there's anything else new to touch this :?: 8)
Not jealous in the slightest. . . . :D .
Congratulations and enjoy in good health. Very nice indeed.
Very tasty indeed and no doubt extremely quick. 8)
I'd give it 6 months before I had my license taken off me though.
You have made a great choice sir...I love it. I bet it is a hoot to drive.
The road tests rate this big time - great choice 8)
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Very tidy, got the wife the humble 2.0l diesel 1 coupe second hand recently and that drives well so cant imagine what the 1M is like.
orrrr. summmmm.
very nice, saw one in white on sunday and was immediately green with envy. Only redeemed by the look of the guy who got in it.
Looks amazing, enjoy it.
I was also in the same MCoupe boat and considered putting a desposit down for one. But I was too late.Originally Posted by lawnmowerman78

Nice 1M, love the colour
I remeber when I sudied one year in Germany and one of my classmates had a M1 (not the 1M), I lost something that day to BMW's
Best

That...is really very nice, enjoy. 8)
That's a WOW colour!
I like it.

Thank you to all for all your nice comments.
The car is a real hoot to drive, no turbo lag whatsoever just put your foot down and it flies.
It turns heads everywere and i'm very happy with it.
NICE 8)
Seen it reviewed on Top Gear - seriously quick I seem to remember!!!!!
Congrats (and I'm jealous!)
How do I know it's an M1 ?
I mean it looks real but could be a souped up 1600 Cortina.
I demand to see a picture of the log book before I believe it's real.
Go to specsavers :lol:Originally Posted by blackie

Thats a cracking car mate, enjoy it!
Looks gorgeous! Adoring that colour! 8) 8)
That is fantastic, i would love one of these after reading all the glowing reviews in the car mags.
It's not an M1. :wink:Originally Posted by blackie
That looks mint, I love it.
Congrats on the purchase! Looks stunning, should hold its value pretty well too what with the limited production!
Outstanding. Great colour choice too.
Drive safe! :D
Love the colour and think its a lot of car for £40K and the bills will be less than an M3. Have fun

Message to the OP.... You'd think so, wouldn't you, but in 3 years time I'll bet the dealer says something like "Well sir, this is a specialised vehicle and it won't appeal to the mass market. The bottom has fallen out of the market for the high performance sports coupes - It will be very difficult to move this one on at a decent price even though it's in such good condition so I'm afraid the best we can do is offer you....."Originally Posted by mackay45
Car dealers (and BMW dealers especially, it has to be said) are not the most generous of people - and I say that without fear of contradiction. So this is going to be a fun, but expensive, period of ownership. I am very jealous.

Very nice!
What engine is in these please?
Cheers,
Great car, I'd like one myself, I've got a 335i and the engine in that is great. The 1M, with a bit more power and the other M components, I'm sure will make it a great drive. Looks good too :D
I think Rob is right, depreciation over 3 years will be biblical, but over a longer period, I think this will do really well- I think it's all down to numbers produced- anything volume will take a bigger hit (like m3/911)the rarer stuff will hold up after the initial vat/new car premium has taken its toll. Love the idea of the car, but I reckon I'd go for a mk1 gt3 and watch it go up in value instead.Originally Posted by Barryboy

Congratulations
Received a cracking write up and just the right colour for a pocket rocket - ENJOY !
Love the colour, very 8) Haven't heard a lot about them as the motoring press is somewhat lacking here in Canada, from what I can tell anyway
Anyway, looks the mutts nuts, and I'll bet it flys - but have to say that the BiB won't like that number plate at the rear
One word... AWESOME!
Looks to be the best car M has made for a while.
Congrats on the fine purchase.
Looks nice, enjoy it although maybe not in the winter  :) I bought myself a new car last week, having had an M3 for 3 years decided to jump ship and buy an S3, really pleased with it so far and off to be remapped shortly 8)
Very nice.. Can't wait until these are 3 years old and I can afford one!
Get it remapped!
Indeed, expect this to take a few years to wash out, definitely do not look to chop it for at least 3-4 years or you will be well out of bed.Originally Posted by GOAT
As for the colour the pictures don't actually do it justice it really is a stunning vibrant orange that sets it apart from almost anything else on the road at the moment. Orange stitching on the leather is also as nice touch.
Enjoy your new vehicle and watch out for the speed cameras these little roller skates are lethal.......
Not trying to rain on your parade, but I'm afraid I could never drive a car that colour.
In fact I struggle with BMW generally, I'll never own one.
