It's only monday, give the guy a chance.
Daddel.
Hi
Wasn't this review promised to be shared by this past weekend? I haven't heard back from Victoria yet. I read a post by her yesterday and she seems to be wondering where it is as well. I saw that Simon hasn't been active on the forum since Friday so maybe that's because he's busy putting together a giant review? If someone sees it, will you please PM me the link so I can read it? Thanks!!!
Gerard

He said it would be by the weekend that just past. Sorry if it annoys you I put faith in people's promises.

I can't wait to see a third party review on this.
It's just a matter of time...
I saw Simon getting on a plane for the Bahamas on Saturday morning if that means anything...
What is a "Kingston"?
Patience on awaiting the order was exhausted long ago, but for a third party review I will be excited to wait for that a little longer.

Its also a watch made in China which borrows many many many styling queues from a couple of Vintage Rolex Sub from the late 50's, and which some folks believe is actually better than a real Rolex in part because it a bit cheaper - around £650  and because it seems you have to wait just as long to actually get one.
Its a strange world we live in.

Gerard you're like an old woman where this watch is concerned.

I'm taking pre-orders for the review. For only $350 you can be a "thick as two short planks" holder and are guaranteed an early draft of my review to be emailed to you by the second quarter of 2013.
The sequence of delivery of the emails is as follows:
The first 50 emails will be delivered first to Bullingdon Club members because they are so damn rich and run this place. This will be followed by the first 50 emails to people I think are the best looking on this forum. The next batch of emails will be to people who have only joined this forum to flog a watch. After the third batch of emails have been delivered I will return to the beginning of this sequence and resume emailing whoever I feel like emailing, but only if they have more than 30,000 posts, followed by Bear Pit regulars (apart from those who have annoyed me), then people who have been registered on this forum for more than five years…etc.
The last to receive the emails will be the pinko liberal residents of Auchtermuchty and supporters of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. I may reconsider in the case of learningtofly if I receive written assurance that he will cease posting mean and moody shots of his Rolex GMT and Zenith watches.
The unique sequence numbers of each personalised email follow this delivery pattern set out above. For example the first email begins with the sequence number of 76598007755.
I chose this sequence because it makes no sense whatsoever.
I will attempt to have all of the "thick as two short planks" holders emails written in the same batch. This may be complicated by the fact that I am hiring Bremont's marketing team to write the emails. They will be working in a top secret location in a sterilised atelier in Sheffield.
Everyone’s sequence number within each batch of emails is determined by their original sales order number from their first deposit (lowest to highest or whatever).
The custom emails and the pre-written emails have separate sequence numbers because the custom emails will be expected to be completed at a slower pace.
I will be working on at least sending one custom email per week. Sometimes there will be more but I will be working on at least one custom email per week.
I chose not to schedule emails using actual calendar dates because I anticipated that there would be a learning curve at the beginning of the process and I have no logic whatsoever. In addition because of the complexity added by the number of options available and the fact that there's a lot of really good TV on, the email schedule was too complicated to provide hard dates or anything that makes sense.
The other version is that I've had a busy family weekend and a Valentine's surprise from Mrs Rah today and am writing this quickly between bathing the boy and taking a naughty pup to his training class.
I will post my thoughts about the watch in the next 36 hours. :)

Smile and have fun. You will enjoy it more, trust me. :)
I personally don't feel Victoria ever has been in the spirit of jest with me here or on the other forum. I am okay with jokes being in context more than in guise of insult. My sense of humor is there. Anyway, I appreciate your encouragement. From all I've read here it seems like a fun place for the most part (until an envy bug bites some) :D

Please go away.

So much angst over a Chinese homage - time for Simon to post his review and then move on - hopefully. :D

I thought it was hand made in switzerland by master craftsman... each channeling the spirit of Hans Wildorf and humming a happy tune as they lovingly assemble each Yao watch one by one from rare and unknown materials such as the elusive "stainless steel" and the equally as rare "eta 2824."
I keep waiting for someone to tell me that this is all a spoof. If not, I have never read anything so stupid.
Most of it may be tongue in cheek - but it is most definitely real - this is the most eagerly awaited review I have ever been waiting for :) really looking forward to it. I've even been looking at more pics of the watch and it looks rather nice indeed.Originally Posted by dejjl
