i just got another omega.....
all i have at the moment but always on the look out
i just got another omega.....
Nice going guys -the inevitable day when my already overstretched watch budget has to accommodate a Speedy just got a lot closer . Thanks a bunch :) .
My one and only Omega:
Dave
And a look down memory lane,
I got all these on SC except one.
One or two could do with a fettle, but they all run rather well.
Stefan if I ever could own one of those vintage Omega divers I would be a happy man, stunning pieces :)
Ah, but which one? Soooo many... it's addictive.Originally Posted by Panofsky

Just this one...
:D
I'm finding the Mk IV strangely alluring.Originally Posted by jd
I agree, although they're harder to come by than the "4.5". I'd like one of them - I think the Cal 1040 versions (with the combined running secs and 24hr indicator subdial) are the nicest of the lot. The Mk III has that, and it's a beautiful dial... but a gargantuan case and not for everyone. The Mk IV has a much trimmer profile.Originally Posted by Panofsky
Some of the Cal 1040 Seamaster chronos are really nice too.
Don't have any Omega's in the collection these days, I had a SMP pre Bond and a 42mm PO, but I would like a nice SM300 on a bracelet.
My only Omega, and It'll be a while 'til my next one :
Jim :)
Does this count?
Jim
Just this now:
Had this one as well, gave it to my father:
Top thread, makes me like mine even more now. Always flirting with changing mine but can't think of a better brand for the money TBH.
Had a few over the last 2 years:-
2254 - My first good watch (miss it a lot now, probably THE most desirable modern Seamater)
2599 - Chunky beast (miss this one too, would really like another)
PO45 on rubber - A bit of a Casino Royale moment
2220.80 - Co-Ax Bond - bought brand new, kept for a month then traded WITH the 2254 for a B'ling CA
2201.50 - Probably the best allround PO (had a few running issues and an annoyingly off-set bezel)
2531 - Actually prefer this to the 2254 and deffo preferred to the PO, THE classic modern Seamaster
Would love a Speedy Pro but as I only own one watch at a time, think I would have to look after it more than the Seamaster where water is concerned. I think my absolute grail and compromise watch would be the rare-as-rocking-horse-do-dos Speedy Racing 3552.59 (please PM me if you have one you want to sell) :)
Sorry no pics, will be working on this at the weekend
My only one, still very happy though!
After taking the pic I decided to thoroughly clean it
Hi all,
What a lovely bunch 8)
Here's a couple of mine to start with, sorry they have marks on them but I do like to wear them :blackeye:
The Snoopy was purchased brand new by me, it was in daily use until the 69 Speedy came along and that is now my everyday watch.

This one isn't mine but it is my Fathers I had it restored by Omega and gave it back to him.
Has anyone else got pictures of a 2531 on anything other than its bracelet?
That one of Ron's looks really good on carbon.
Jim :)
1st post...Here's my only current omega
This was sold (regrettably)
Hi
Anyone got a brown crocodile leather deployment strap with the white stitching for a 45mm PO (22mm lug width)which they wish to sell
Mark
Sorry, couldn't find a newer or larger "Show us your Omegas" thread to post to!
Constellation Pie Pan, vintage Seamaster, modern Seamaster and Speedy Moon ..
Not the best pics, struggling to photograph them nicely, need more practise.
The more I see of the Constellation, the more I love those lugs - I think the slight angle in them must be pretty similar to the angle of the outer part of the pie pan dial. And those on yours look very nice and crisp. I was recently attempting to admire an 18k gold Constellation available at an eye-watering price, but the lugs had lost all their definition.
Just this one now!
I have owned:
Speedy Pro
Seamaster Ceramic (blue)
Planet Ocean 2500 (orange)
This Titanium beaut is my favourite and so light for such a piece of chunk!

Wearing this a lot lately on a waterproof strap.
my bp station
I've had many but this is still the favorite.
Hi there
Thanks for the compliment it’s the Aqua Terra 8500 ref 231.10.42.21.06.001. Grey Teak Dial. Depending on the light it either flicks between light grey to a darker shade. On the bracelet it looks more dressy in my opinion as you get light reflection from the bracelet as well as the angle work on the dial batons. I picked the deep grey sail effect strap as I think it makes it a touch more sporty. It feels quality all in all.
Post this model they’ve modernised by putting in horizontal strips , changing crown and I think complete in house but I’m not an expert.
Picked this up in a trade from the site at very good value. Some people still of course love the old 2500’s and I have to say the blue Dials are lovely.
My first mechanical watch, worn daily for many years and one of very few I’ll never sell.
I decided to give it a new lease of life though. I’ve loved it on the bracelet and it looks like new, as does the rest of the watch, since a full Omega service last year.
I fancied leather though. And my, what leather! A Dangerous9 custom strap in Teju and Sharkskin. Stupidly expensive, a ridiculously long wait and impossible to justify in any logical terms. I mean, no one will ever even see the blue! However, it feels amazing, looks awesome up close and just makes me happy.
So, here’s to many more memories with my little, not the real deal, but very special (to me) Speedmaster!

I've got a few Omegas. Including at least one that most people really don't like
My grandfathers
My late fathers 21st birthday present
My bargain of the century blingy that I almost never wear, but it only cost me £200 for quite a chunk of gold.
Speedy of course
And the Marmite one that divides opinion. I liked the blue dial
Funny how I’ve just stumbled on my very first post 9 years ago.
That Planet Ocean was my first proper watch but it’s long gone now. Signing up to this forum gets you that way.
Omegas I’ve owned that are now gone:
Planet Ocean (2500)
Speedy pro (twice gone)
Seamaster (original blue ‘bond’ one and the co-axial version)
A pretty rare titanium seamaster (2232.30.00)
A Railmaster
And finally an aqua terra
Only one left is another speedy pro. 3rd one I’ve owned. I don’t think this well ever go now. I’ve got too many strap/bracelet options for it

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
Love the speedy pro 👍🏿

My three Omegas...
Examined my IWW customised & PVD'd 1968 Omega Seamaster 300 Model 166024-67 Caliber 565 today; case back removed for first time to check the caliber and model reference:
Rolex case knife used to sharpen a matchstick - which then used to compress springbars without scratching the lugs' PVD finish
Bezel fitted with custom insert
Dial was re-lumed by IWW
Appears to have correct attributes.

"Well they would say that ... wouldn't they!"
I miss this old thing, loads of charm & wore brilliantly.

This is a forum watch bought from, and subsequently sold back on to here a couple of years, I hope it’s still around?
Such a cool watch, was just a bit too mullered around the lugs for me to want to keep, but a bargain all the same...
