I find one of these does the job
I have skiied on many pairs of skis in my 8 seasons of skiing but never before have I found a ski the can truly do EVERYTHING like the Rossignol 9X Oversize. What an absolute weapon, even in the knee deep powder.
I find one of these does the job
I've stuck with Volkl for years..... always seem to suit me bit expensive in the uk though.
jean-claude chevre :D
Salamon have always done me well.

Quite happy with the plank, after K2 Fat Bob and a Yukon, the Custom X is a tidy stiff board.Originally Posted by ghosty
I'd recommend the Scott Cascade. Awesome ski for any conditions, any terrain
+1 for Rossignol, I've been using a pair of B3s for the past few years.

Not done any deep powder skiing with them but on and off piste they are great performers, take a bashing at speed and if you're into carving they turn a tight radius in comfort.
I tried some Rossignols a couple of years back, they were good but a bit wayward on icy pistes, not really for me. Kept losing the back end
Cheers,

Fantastic skis. Have used newish Salomon X-Wing Tornadoes each of the last 3 seasons. Very responsive, very stable at stupid speeds, fat enough to float OK. Previously used Rossignol B3's which were good too, but not quite as versatile.Originally Posted by Steve264
Still got my original AK Rockets (2m long, 1000m-ish radius turns) which are fun in a stupid kind of way.
AK Rockets, a classic ski and one of the only decent Salomon skis in a long time. To be fair they have improved since a) using wood in the core again and b) being bought by Amer Sports and having acess to Atomic technologies.
