    Hello,

This is the second time that FM has tried to sue MA.

In 2001, when MA introduced their 'Muller' style watch, with a CHINESE movement, selling it for many thousands, FM tried to sue MA for theft of intellectual property. I think it came to nothing.

The odd thing is, that people actually bought the watch, thinking they were getting a bargain!!

I remember when this first started, there was a very good article written by 8ohms on TZ, where he did a side by side comparison, of MAs $2.5K watch, against a Chinese $60 street watch, and the Chinese watch was stated to be the better watch, at $2400 less!!

I did a search, and found the article. Here it is, it's a great read!!

    Enjoy,

    Doug

Any minute now a "concerned citizen" who has "absolutely no ties to MA" will suddenly appear on the forum and tell us how unfair we are being to them.

In the text attributed to MA there is the passage ... into thinking that the highest quality components are manufactured in Switzerland while they are secretly subcontracting the manufacture of many of their components in Russia and the far east. Certainly some would argue that MA is allegedly an authoritative source on this practice.

and Allison as the up and coming contender.
    Who wrote this?

Bob on the MWR reckons it was written by MA themselves, as the IP address is the same as used for MA. So it looks like a bit of much raking/free publicity/viral advertising. :?

I'm hoping for a win-win conclusion, a long and bitter legal battle which bankrupts them both.

It's a wonder anyone would still buy MA. Some of the FM in Chinatown look rather decent. At least there is no false advertisement, you know exactly what you are getting. I love how the paint fell off from the "expensive leather band" when taped. I'm sure they'll tell you that their leather band is so special that you can't put tape on it.

    Hello all,
Can anyone tell me the genesis of this "battle" between Allison and Muller?
From some of the posts on the lawsuit site, it seems that Muller is not that well thought of. I am ignorant of both manufacturers.
    Thanks,

    Thanks,
One is pretentious overpriced kit, (FM), the other is a total crock of shite, so overpriced and hyped it goes beyond the sublime to the ridiculous (MA).

Just unravel this mixed up sentence. These an only monstrosities MA would idiot buy of one.
Sorry I had better do it.
ONLY AN IDIOT WOULD BUY ONE OF THESE MA MONSTROSITIES.

Remember my Hyde Park Corner rant about news of the Mr. Jackson trial being force-fed to me?

I'd rather watch the trial live than discuss MA and FM.
    Cheers,
