You've asked a question and not answered it yourself!!
I drive a Subaru Forester STi which is no reflection on the watches I wear/enjoy :)
Watches seem to go hand in hand with cars, in my experience anyway!
So what do you all drive? Do we have any old classics under a cover in the garage?
Whilst I'm looking around for my next watch purchase, I am also considering spending the money on a MK1 MX5 and supercharging it for some summer stupidity. Only issue is I've run out of space to keep it!

Quite, but I didn't want it to look like I was posting purely for the reason of showing off my cars - so I was planning on avoiding it.Originally Posted by Jonmurgie

Really like the Forester!
Nothing too fancy, but still quirky enough to reflect my taste in all things clean and modern I think.
A Volvo C30.
Almost identical to this one.
There is quite a long-running thread on this very subject elsewhere on the forum.

So you're a BMW man then... well I recently sold my Z3 M Coupe which I'd had for nearly 3 years, oddly I don't miss it one bit!Originally Posted by AMB

Thought there might be.. but any excuse to post pics of cars and show off a little and didn't want to be the one moaning about it ;)Originally Posted by ralphy
This at the moment, however not for long at 8mpg :(
LOL... get's pricey doesn't it!! My Forester is also pretty pants and I only ever give it V-Power which is around £1.26 around here... thinking of getting a cheaper runabout for the daily slog to the office :(Originally Posted by alexaff
I can get the 8 down to similar figures but the 6 will do 40mpg on a run and the Z will do 34.Originally Posted by Jonmurgie

Man, that Ferrari is awesome!!!
Have the 89 R107 for the weekends, have had him about 3 and a half years now, can’t see me moving him on for a while yet.
swmbo has a 987 S, cracking point to point car.
A gratuitous reflection shot from my detailing phase….
And a 2000 9-5 as the smoker funny no pics of that…
Now like the advert said I’m “Think Bike!”
Alfa 156 and an Alfa Spider. The 156 does an average of 15mpg, which I've only just found out - in hindsight I shouldn't have bothered checking as I'm scared of driving the damned thing now.
Hardly ever drive the Spider, but we're taking it on a trip to Europe this year - the will it / won't it make it there and back factor is really increasing my sense of anticipation.
My two classics, M5s from 1986 and 1995 :)
1986 with its great grandson!
(yes, I need to take a pic of all three together!)
After years of various exotic sports cars I now drive a CR-V. All of my spare time attention is now devoted to a GWR Manor. It's what you do after the "car phase" in your life. :D
I have a VW Passat  It's a chump, but it does the job. I also have a little Pug, which is pure, unadulterated fun to drive :D
Eleven years old and still running strong :D
Cheers

Bloody hell Andy, you could have turned up in that when we met up for you to buy my old Sea-Dweller!!! :DOriginally Posted by boddah
I guess we might not have arrived at exactly the same time if you did though...?!!
My contribution to this thread should be pretty obvious but here's a larger pic anyway...

Mines changed though, Cooper S went back when I lost my job, these days it's a Fiesta and this for some summer fun.
The beater is a V40, and I'll rot in hell before I take a picture of the munter.
Most of my watches are from the late 60's and 70's, which match the toys. The eagle eyed will note that ones a 5, and the others a 5A, and to those that couldn't give a monkeys, they're Reliant Scimitars
Lovely, nice to see a TR3A, not many on the roads anymore.Originally Posted by thieuster

@ catflem: In my early days as a classic car nut, I always wanted one of these Reliants. One day I went to have a look at one that was for sale. Great car, great test drive and a great colour: royal navy blue with (I think) black interior. I was smitten. When we got back to the seller's house, we had a chat on the driveway and we wanted to go inside to close the deal. That moment, the car started to burn... And it burned to the ground... The smell of burning resin... we tried to put out the flames with the garden hose and the fire ext. from my car. As said: the car burned down completely. Luckily, the owner was well insured. But I never had the nerves to buy a Reliant. (To be honest: in 1995. one of my Triumphs also burned down...)
@RAB: are you a member of the TR-Register? Great TR forum on that site!

It's one of the 50 UK Limited Editions from late 1995 - 15 Rosso Red/35 Orinoco Green - the last of the hand-assembled M5s, everything since has been built on a production line. They only made 343 3.8s in RHD, and of those only 139 had the six-speed box and these 18" wheels. LOVE IT! Drives like a three year old! :DOriginally Posted by BigD
Some smashing stuff on display here fellas, so pleased to see I'm not the only one into classics!
In that case, I'm sure you'll appriciate this one: (the guy also owns a... BMW M1(!), and a lot of real exotica); pic take with my phone.Originally Posted by GraniteQuarry

We are in the position were we have no children so these cars are more than practical, the TTS for everyday, and the Elise R for the sunny days and weekends or just whenever i fancy taking it out, doesnt have to be good weather. my wife has a little VW Polo but she gets the bus for work so usually just sits there in the Drive, its handy for dump runs etc etc so i dont have to get my cars dirty
