11:55 PM EST, What are you wearing, drinking, smoking

For me, it's an old refurbished Festina Road Warrior, Bacardi and diet coke (have to mind my figure) and a Maria Mancini Maduro torpedo cigar. Who comes up with the names of cigars, anyway?
    Regards,

I don't drink ... but know several alcoholics who do to excess including one with a premature dibilitating stroke ... which is why I quit ...And I don't smoke ... but have seen several friends and family die from lingering smoking related diseases ... which is why I quit ... And I am wearing Omega Flightmaster newly serviced ... which I could never have afforded if I hadn't quit drinking and smoking ...

I don't drive an automobile. But I know of a number of people who did, and died in crashes. I am wearing a FF96, which I probably couldn't have afforded, if I hadn't given up driving. ;)

    Best wishes,
    Bob

PS And, one could restrict this to driving as part of a leisure activity.

I don't smoke, and I wouldn't be able to pay the rather steep bill for what I hope to be the final work on my ZZ-1 project watch if I hadn't quit some time ago. :D (I guess the amount of the bill would suffice for Bob to purchase enough raw materials to start his own commercial watch-production business, and see him a good way into the lathe ...)

I have a weakness for very dry vite vine, though. :occasion5: The local council has offered me the exclusive use of one of those huge steel glass collecting containers to better cope with the debris of my vinological affection...

I know, I know - when it rains, it pours: only yesterday I was complaining about my depressing watchlessness, and then the Hammy arrived, and a few hours later came the bill for the project watch which means that it will be completed in a few days ... We'll see how fast the customs official at Frankfurt international will release the Seiko Navigator ...
    Cheers,

which could never have contemplated if I still smoked ... but is approximately 3 months fag money.

Well, I drink (not a lot these days), don't smoke (never have) and I'll drive whenever I feel like it. (cars and bikes) I don't appear to have died yet, though I did break my wrist last year in a minor bike-offage.

Todya, I find I am wearing a Citizen Skyhawk in Titanium (now for sale...any interested parties drop me a PM) while the DC56 has a rest after getting smothered in grass/weeds using the BIIIIG strimmer last night.

I'm currently wearing a Sinn 142St on leather strap,
while typing this message on an Apple PowerMac 2X2Ghz.
I'm looking at it through my small green spectacles
on the screen of a Lacie 22".
Had some cold chocolate milk this morning.

Has anyone ever started a topic ref 'Watches I own but never wear' ? I have a few which I'm worried about getting scratched and wish to keep in saleable condition in case of ŁŁ needs ... so they seldom get worn ... just wound every few weeks ... Perhaps I should consider a new Damasko which wouldn't suffer scratches ... will wait and see the new models.

Someday, all these people who live right and eat healthy are going to feel foolish dying of nothing...

BTW, Damasko, Diet Coke, but no smoke.

My motto is exceed, exceed, but always to excess. So, I know what I am going to die off ... some stupidity, or other.

BTW. Who is this perverted who wants to know what I am wearing? I'm wearing no knickers, mate. Happy now?

All things in moderation, especially moderation. Sometimes one has to kick the arse out of it!

I am not sure what exactly I am going to die of, but I'll tell you one thing: I won't remember what it was the next morning.

OK, you guys convinced me to try to stop smoking cigars. After forty years, it is going to hurt, so I bought a huge supply of sugar free gum. Day one and surviving. I am guestimating that I spent about $5-6,000 on cigars last year. That's a hell of a habit and a very nice watch. I started when I was 18 and will turn 58 in a couple of weeks, hence the forty years.
    Thanks,

Congratulations. You will probably put many useful years on your life and have the extra$$ to enjoy them more. Cigars, cigarettes, and pipes are just 'titty bottles' ... they just calm the need for another ... and then cause a rush of adrenilin ... to make you reach for another ... and another.

    Good luck.

    Thanks,
Wishing you good luck in trying to beat the habit of smoking. I did it, but I had only smoked for approx 15 years.

Thanks, Crusader. I really appreciate the support. Day three, now. I now realize how much time I spent on the whole cigar ritual. Hours a day. To keep from knoshing, I stay busy with projects for our business and home, which makes my wife very happy. The funniest thing that happened so far was that I could actually smell my clothes.
    Regards,
    Don
