    Breitling B01

Tried one of these on today and wasn't impressed. The font is awful IMHO and compared to my Blackbird it felt cheap and the dial seemed undersized. I wonder how long it will be before Breitling put this calibre into one of their other models?

I tried one when they first came out and thought the dial wasn't bad at all. But you're right, the 1980's sci-fi font on the bezel and the naff date font just look silly IMO. I don't think the watch looks as as expensive as it is. That said, the build quality is good and I believe the new movement is pretty decent.

It's not for me, I'm not a fan of the polished ss watches from Breitling, or any other brand for that matter.
I just think tool watches are best in brushed steel, or better still in Titanium :|

I'm afraid that I agree. They looked much better in the marketing pics than they do in real life - spoiled mainly by the bezel. And don't forget that this is their latest "flagship" watch with in-house movement.

Sadly just not worth the money at all :(

It is a cracking movement though - would be very interested if they put it in another of their range

We are back to the old auto chrono days again with, Breitling VS Heuer. You pays your money and you makes your choice. In my book, Heuer wins … again!!!

It's good that Breitling have an "in house" movement.
Cases, dials, hands will come, .... I hope.

The old quartz B1 still does it for me :)

Kinda like it - but not for the money.
It's just a matter of time...

But in the old days it was Breitling and Heuer together (& Buren) vs. everyone else.

You could have the same Chrono-Matic movement in a Breitling, a Heuer or even a Hamilton.

Agree with the comments about the silly bezel font (not to mention the daft 19th Century date font.) Construction/size is about the same as the regular Chronomat, though.
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!

    I would disagree with you.
I really like the modern bezel font, especially the huge pearl, and the dial is very nice IMO.
The date font however isn't a complete success.

    Cheers

They dont hold their value well although they are in house.

I'd rather have the Navitimer B01, although it still suffers from the same date font.
