Newbie alert...

Hello TZ!

I'm new, thought I'd share my newly found interest in watches...

I've always loved the look of the "classic" Tag Carrera Chrono. So I eventually decided I'd treat myself and I went out and bought one:





However, after putting it on at home for the first time after having the bracelet sized I just didn't get on with it. Close up I found the finishing on the watch unattractive (it seemed so blingy and shiny without any real good reason for it), the clasp and bottom of the bracelet just didn't fit my wrist properly and it sat too proud on my wrist. It just wasn't for me, and it was uncomfortable to boot. So I returned it :)

Went through Terminal 1 at Heathrow over the weekend and popped by the Omega boutique - left a little poorer but oh so much happier (though i would have been that little bit happer had VAT been back at its usual 17.5% rate) with a 42mm black Planet Ocean :D





It's quite a heavy watch but hugs the wrist perfectly. Saying that, if I'd had twice as much money as I eventually did have I would have gotten this, absolutely stunning:

Hello Nick, Nice PO and I like the Tag too! Am always drawn to the Tag in AD window but like you I didn't find it quite as attractive on my wrist. Saying that am sure I will end up buying one eventually...

Spend some 725 pounds for a new Steinhart Nav B Chrono - THEN spend 6-7000 on the 'real one' if you 'bond' :lol:
VERY good value for money - has not lost/gained any time since receipt 8-10 days ago :shock:
