What can I use to fill a relacement bezel pip?

Okay, my plan is thus:

1. Use one of my cat's insulin syringes to fill an empty bezel pip with a drop or two of magnolia emmulsion.
2. Gently bake in oven at, say, 130 degrees for ten minutes.
3. Allow to cool and than fit to bezel insert.

Anyone know of the paint will "set" and/or if there's a better alternative?
