Superb! The 14060 is a great reference and that looks to be in lovely condition. Enjoy :-)
Huge (really) thanks to all of you who replied to my post about a Sub to remember my late father by. Those replies, and the many kind and helpful messages, really are an example of this place at its best.
I agreed a deal today with Mike Wood for an all original 2002 14060, pics below.
Now could someone please buy my Brietling from SC so the family don't have to live on beans.

Thanks Verv, and for your superb advice and guidance too.
A fantastic way to mark your Dads life.
Enjoy
If I hadn't received "The Call" I was leaning towards getting a 5 digit Sub.
Lovely watch and a great way to remember your dad.
Congratulations.
Great choice. Congratulations
Very nice 👌
Great choice. I also bought a 14060 recently and I think it's one of the nicest subs I have ever owned.

Excellent choice.
Same year and model as mine, and one of the last line of classic Subs before they became gaudy thief magnets.
Beautiful. Can’t go wrong with that example either, in terms of both condition and provenance. Without a doubt, a perfect tribute to your dad.
I have to admit, I would love a 14060/M to sit alongside my 5513 and 79090, but it seems a bit greedy somehow.
What a great choice with that 14060, a wonderful way of remembering your Dad. I'm really pleased this has come to fruition, since your original thread.
Great example there and by all accounts a very good guy to deal with. I’m sure your dad will be chuffed.
I am real pleased for you thats going to be a lovely keep sake for you.
When I can ride the bike again this summer we can meet up for coffee again and you can show it to me.
Best of luck.
That looks fantastic, and what a way to remember him.
Wore my 5 digit out for a curry tonight with the wife, as not worn it for a while. Browsing the menu, glanced up and she had taken the explorer out for a meal too!
Much as I love the new bracelets, the old subs are just the best visually.

Having just checked my receipt from Mike it turns out this is an M, so Cal.3130 with Breguet overcoil, larger balance wheel and full balance bridge rather than just a balance cock. Which is an entirely unexpected bonus.
Congrats, & a great watch to commemorate your dad.
One that’s a grail of mine but think that boat has sailed.

What ever is the world coming to, Mike @TOWS actually selling a watch?
I’ve never heard of the likes. World must be coming to an end.
Splendid !!
Great watch, congratulations
About as perfect as a 5 digit sub can get.
Congratulations.
Always a contender for the perfect watch. The M is the sweet spot indeed for these models. I have a 1991 Tritium non M but still a fantastic watch in its own right.
Lovely watch, what's not to like. As a sub owner I know you will enjoy it.
Thats lovely! And its becoming a thing with me at the moment that older submariners have the - what would it be called? coin edge? I forget - aligned correctly with the pip at 12 o clock, where more modern ones are all over the shop...
I remember having to really search for my SD40K because so many of the bezels didnt have symmetry.
Wonder why... is it more a case with rolex now that "you get what we decide to give you - say "thank you master"." Or is it harder to do an aligned ceramic bezel?
I’d imagine that ceramics are much harder to remove and straighten which is why some come off the line a hair out. I definitely wouldn’t dare in case it cracked whereas I’m quite happy to pop an aluminium bezel off to straighten it at home if it’s annoying me.
