I'm not mad on Breitling watches, just not my kind of watch. But I really want to own one. I've no doubt I'll eventually come round or find one I like. If I keep looking at them I know I'll change at some point.
I love some Breitlings. I don't own any at the moment, but that's down to finances rather than choice.
Growing up they were always the watches I was drawn to in shop windows and I was stoked when I got my first one. Now I've owned quite a few and I would have any of them back in a heartbeat.
There are a few I plan on getting again someday when I can afford it - definately the SOHC 125th anniversary, possibly B1 and probably some variation of Avenger.
I could't find pictures of all the ones I've had, but here are most of them:
Super Ocean Heritage Chrono 125th Anniversary
Chronospace
Chrono Avenger M1 black face
Chrono Avenger M1 white face
Super Avenger slate face
Aerospace
Airwolf Raven
Aerospace Avantage on bracelet
Airwolf white face
B1 SQ
I've also had a Chrono Avenger and Emergency, but can't find pictures of those.
and the post right after I say that has one I like. That 125th anniversary Super Ocean is gorgeous.
My first post so forgive if it doesn't work, but

Only Sonyman had anything similar, his being the Pluton and mine the Intruder. Same quartz movement though, I think

Lovely B-2

They are not easy to find, but there is a brand new one on eBay at the moment which looks mint - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BREITLING-...-/271204169792
Not cheap though, mine went for almost £1500 less than what he's asking, but mine was used and new ones are extremely rare.
Hey! How did you do that? What did I do wrong?
Anyway, ta.
I was lucky enough to try on Andrew's yellow Seawolf yesterday, Adrian. What a superb choice - the first time I've seen the yellow dial in the flesh.
Your photos are superb, although maybe a little to vibrant..? What I liked most about Andrew's was that it wasn't too yellow, it was the perfect shade of custard.
Either way, I can't get it out of my mind
Colour looks much more accurate, and better
Can we have an airwolf case back please gents!
Sold my breitling once, had to but it back the next day

A quick snap of my Chronomat after it came back from a refinish. To be honest it still looks the same today as I wear it in rotation with a few other watches.
Quite tempted by a Steelfish or Superocean 42. How do people rate these? I'm sure I saw a tidy 3 year old Superocean 42 on eBay for around £1500
Yellow dial Seawolf - I love you!
I really like some of the Breitling range. Loving the Super Ocean Heritage right now and seriously thinking of taking the plunge. For what it's worth here's my war-torn Chronomat. Lovely watch, spoilt by having been bought by an ex-wife! Oh well, can't have everything!

My Breitling Premier from 1998
What are peoples views on the Superocean - A1736006/C759 with Blue dial, the 2008 version with revised numerals?
I'm being offered one in trade and wondered if they were very sort after or not, not had much experience with SO's

Cool! I love Breitling...
Currently the only one I have
These are all gone
Superoceans are not particularly sought after, but then again, they're popular enough that they hold their value quite well. There's not much difference in price between an early noughties Superocean and a much later one, assuming similar condition.
I like the dial of that particular one; cleaner than the previous model, with fewer tick marks here and there. Although the lume is a bit of a downgrade.
Movement the same decorated ETA 2824 they've been using for years, but the 1500m WR means a thick, grippy seal on the crown and some folks complain of the crown being difficult to use.
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
Ahh! My favourite thread is back!
I have the Chrono Superocean, and it's one of my favourite watches. Go for it, you won't be disappointed.

Well, I’VE FINALLY ARRIVED!
I’ve just bought a 2012 Breitling Avenger Skyland from langdalematt on Sales Corner – I think he bought it from you, Andrew?
As Ross knows from previous correspondence I was toying with buying a Seawolf, but then this came up at the most amazing price and I just had to have it.
I saw the post two days ago, bought and paid for it the same day, Mark posted it to me the same day and it was sitting in my hallway when I got home yesterday! Not that I was eager to see it or anything…
First impressions…. Oh My God! It’s absolutely stunning and looks as if it’s never been worn.
It’s probably the Breitling I always dreamed of and never ever thought I would be able to afford – the new Avenger retails at around £3,800. As it is, I’ve shamelessly raided my business ‘contingency’ funds to pay for it!
Andrew I hope you don’t mind if I use your photos to show it off? I haven’t had a chance to take any of my own and they won’t be as good as yours anyway…
So now what I need to know from you lot is this..
Would it look better on leather?
What do you think of the Pro III rubber strap?
Simon
Wow nice, I didn't know this Breitling thread existed.
Happy for you, Simon.
It's a cracking watch, I've seen that one in the flesh while Andrew owned it - Enjoy it.
My only reservation with it was a funny one. The side of the case is missing a helium escape valve - it's bald! After I've been looking at similar case sides for so long on the Seawolf, you kind of expect it to be there
I think of it as 'smooth', rather than 'bald'!
It's interesting that I did immediately notice the absence of a helium escape valve... but I don't think I'll miss it.
Any experience with the Pro III rubber? I know 'BREITLING' is pretty prominent along it's length, but I quite fancy it. I should have also mentioned that it turned up on a Pro II (which is really nice) as well as the black/red rubber strap in the photos...
Simon
I love the ProIII, Simon, but I'd be inclined to keep it on the Superocean Black/Red Abyss Strap.
Between the ProII and ProIII, I think the ProIII wins hands down.
It might be worth speaking to Nasser ('Zak'). I'm sure he'll be selling his ProIII because he's selling his Seawolf already in the quest for a PO.
Right guys I'll get involved!
After moment of madness, I've decided to keep my Seawolf! Now on a blue Pro III for summer!
Grey dial, blue rubber... not a colour combination I'd have considered to be honest. Mind you I'm a bit conservative and also unhealthily obsessed with colour matching...
I didn't think you would have the heart to sell it, Zak! The Seawolf was my hoped-for watch before the Skyland fell into my lap earlier this week. I do think they're fabulous and yours is in my opinion the best combination - grey dial, Arabic numerals.
