My Father absolutely hates any JW, but we managed to slip the Double Black past him. His verdict "It's not bad but it tastes like an artificially peated blend. Is it Black Grouse?"
A couple of drams later we gave him the Blue, he literally spat it back into the glass. "Oh god, that's Johnnie Walker. Definitely. It tastes like someone's tried to disguise Red Label by mixing it with Macallan or Glenlivet, but it still has that horrid tang."
So it seems you either love it or loath it, even at £150 a bottle!
