Is it a Breitling?
Well, on Friday I took the day off to go and collect my grail watch.
I bought a case off SC for it to travel in (Bought from Spencer Lee who is a top guy - thanks again Spencer!).
The watch is a definite keeper! I am well chuffed with it!
I will get some photos of the watch up as soon as I can get time... :P
There will be no prize for the first correct guess at the watch's identity. Anyone want to hazard a guess before I stick up the photos?
Is it a Breitling?
Fortis GMT? :D
Respect the past, live the present, protect the future
slow reveals are against the forum rules and you could end up being bared for doing so. I strongly suggest you post the pictures of the watch now.
how come?
As well as being interested finding out what your new watch is, I'm also interested in your car - is it a GT6?
Not a GT6. Much rarer (and slower) than that - A Herald Coupe of 1962 vintage :DOriginally Posted by Marcusu

:D Thanks. She is my pride and joy. I've had her for 14 years since I was 16 years old.Originally Posted by seadog1408
I've always liked old stuff... cars, antiques, watches. Oh yeah, watches... my new watch is of similar vintage to the Triumph only being a few years younger. A little hint for you all
Nice Herald, don't see too many of those, and looks in good nick.
I've got something a little louder:
Your incoming: Pre-moon Speedmaster?

Lovely car, and very rare or so I am told. Did they only make the coupe in the first few years of Herald production?
Like you I am more into older watches and cars. I had to sell my beloved XJ-S and am now getting around in this:
By the way is it a Navitimer? Top-Time?
Breitling Navitimer?
Bah Humbug. I like a little competition myself :)Originally Posted by jonny
How about a Breitling Navitimer Montbrillant? If so, we share a Grail :)
I am liking this game! It is great to see some classic car / watch combinations!
Love the TR6 - the Herald is pretty noisy. Noisier than my mates Maserati 3200GT was. Bad boy exhausts you see...
Love the MG also - I'm liking the colour
You guys pretty much guessed:
A Navitimer 806.... just 4 years younger than the Triumph. I think they will make a good pair! :D
That looks beautiful! <- best I could do to show how green I've just gone

Nice Navitimer; a "real" Breitling. Congratulations.
I love the sound of a straight six with a single bore sports exhaust; something about going under a bridge brings out the hooligan in me!
My Spitfire......as was you understand; I lost the garage, so the car had to go too :(
Love the 806, nicest Breitling out there, congrats 8)

Nice watch! Wear it well :)
Nice cars chaps. Also the Navitimer looks superb!
Modern cars don't do much for me, and the same goes for modern watches. Old cars and watches definitely have more character and it is nice to know the history behind each of them. If you don't know the history - it's fun just to imagine.
RAB: Totally agree on your comment about driving under bridges. There is a tunnel near my house - the sound of the exhaust echoing off the walls makes me grin every time I drive thru it in my MGB!
A little off-topic, but seeing as we're showing our Triumphs......TR6, 1972 150bhp UK spec. 8)Originally Posted by RAB

And getting back on topic, I've always thought the only Breitling I would get would be an original Navitimer. My wife has an orange SuperOcean heritage 46mm
