Ubuntu users....

I use Ubuntu Linux on my main PC. As a web browser Firefox is great, but I have just installed the purpose made one for Linux called Swiftfox. Well all I can say is that it's blazingly fast :shock: . You can download it for the particular processor you have too. Here's a link about it:-

I'll have to give that a go. Firefox is too slow on my netbook - too many writes to the SSD. I've been using Epiphany til now.

Does it accept the 'AdBlock Plus' add on? More than willing to accept a slightly slower browser if 99.9% of all ads are removed

Ubuntu is great indeed. If only my work did not require MS Office, I would use it constantly ...

I've just installed it and it's carried over all my add-ons (inc adblock) and bookmarks. Operationally it doesn't look any different.

I can't really say how much faster it is yet as last night I upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10RC and the standard Firefox is faster than on 9.04 anyhow (9.04 was stuck on 3.01, 9.10 lets me use 3.5.3)

having just installed Ubuntu, infact I'm running it now. I must say that I am very impressed with its sheer speed. My laptop now shuts down in less than 10 seconds, it used to take more than a minute.
