The price is on the long side but I've seen the somewhat rarer 2915's go for £20K+. And compared to the price of a vintage Daytona, why not? This is a rare and sought after piece after all.

Ageed that these can go for serious money but they have to be in top condition to go north of £15k, it is a hopeful seller, £12k for a 1665 with a rail dial and just service papers is around £4k more than itis worth IMO

I fancy this speedie is closer to 10k, and i would imagine he would have little problem in selling it if it was actioned through Antiquorum

I wouldn't think that folk with that much disposible cash to spend on a watch are going to be searching through ebay in the first place...
they'd be much better off putting it in a specialist high end watch auction.
