    Led Flashlight

    Anyone use these wonderful objects?
I bought one for utility (my dog use hunting hedgehogs during the night...I let you imagine how hard is to take it outside his mouth...).
    I found they're really cool.
    Now I have three models:
-Fenix LD20 (2 pcs, smooth and orange peel reflector)
    -Led Lenser P3
    -Led Lenser K7
I'd be glad to know your opinions!
    Regards

I don't want to bring the tone of this thread down but I've been more than happy with the multi-LED torches I've bought from eBay for a tenner or so. Bright, wide beam, good battery life. Sturdy as sturdy comes, made from turned aluminium. I have one in every room.
Plus the Surefire G2Z I've just bought from SC... but at that price it'll be the only one.

    Re: Led Flashlight

    LED's are brilliant.

I've a Surefire G2L, Fenix P1 and a 2C cell Tesco. The £10 Tesco one is excellent value for money with a very powerful beam.

I want to get a Fenix LD20 @ 180 lumens which runs off of AA batteries.

I hardly use my incandescent torches any more.

Same for me - got a brace of £5 cheapies from ebay - they seem to work okay after a bit of fettling. Must be the Yorkshireman in me

MY led lenser k3 is the smallest in this pic.

Used in nearfield i find it much more useful than my maglite 2d cell...
Makes 15 lumens. It's a little FAT, otherwise it would be the perfect keyring torch! Uses 5xAG13 (worth 1€ for 10) and last 50 hours.

Hey, I'll bring the tone of this thread down even further....

    I use a Maglite Mag-LED 3-Cell D. You can't get lower than that.
    Best Regards - Peter

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

Do not even think about joining that Flashlight forum, Might as well become a crack addict !!! Also its all madness to start spending $200 on a torch and then Modding it to death. Makes me wonder what these guys have in life if a torch is of so importance !

    DOh! Just did tonight...

I blame being married with children - I used to be able to just drink all my earnings.

Fenix though, great value for money.

Nitecore EZAA on the key bunch, Nitecore Extreme in the Bergan, Nitecore D20 in my EDC set-up and a Fenix TK40 for when i have to search for escaped POW's! :D Actually, one of the other forums i'm a member of (BB) has a 'Knife, watch and torch combo' thread, these were my contributions:

Some have been flipped since, but you get the idea.

Yep, I have a few: Fenix, and some others from dealextreme. Candlepower forums is a good place for info and reviews.

    Re: Led Flashlight

I've a few LED head torches I use for night running - a petzl tikka for marathon plus distances and a petzl E+Lite for dusk training runs. Highly recommend them both - fantastic for picking out foxes and bats in the darkness!

My Reebok running jacket had built in LEDs but the contacts rusted with sweat (unsurprisingly). Need to find a decent replacement thinking about it now that the evenings are drawing in.

I've never come across a jacket with built in LEDs. Is this a new thing or have they been around a while?

    Another dealextreme fan here.

Got a fair few Ultrafires including an awesome Ultrafire 007 Recoil LED which is a proper thrower.

Another good value one I have is a Zebralight H30 headtorch which has a great spread.

    Both were under £25

    Re: Led Flashlight

I have upgraded most of my maglites to LED, I have a fenix LD10 that is fantastic, a few inova's, Pretzal Myo XP which is stunning, Nite, and other various light sources, including some serious stuff on my MTB's.

You could say i like my lights, unfortunatly it does not end there,

    I am a bit strange.

I've also recently seen the light, if you will pardon the pun and got a Romisen RC-N3 from DealExtreme.

    http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.9070

A good idea for a stocking filler.

Excellent value for money at only $16.99 including shipping.

The head-torch looks cool. I might get one as a back up for when on the bike.
