Royal Mail prepaid SD bags whats the pros and cons please.

I know some of you guys use these Royal Mail prepaid bags so are they convenient, does that mean you don't have to stand in the POST OFFICE for hours and hours?

You still have to have it weighed and pay for the postage... it's a case of having handy packing and being able to pre-fill in the details really.

But they are FREE! Which is nice - means you can have any old box inside all hidden away and looks nicer than parcel tape covered shoe boxes

I use them for security as any tampering is obvious, unlike tape on a box.

They are a bugger to write on with a biro!

Seriously, take care: the writing can rub off if not applied firmly.

i have noticed that too, the older ones with the duplicate paper were better, i think the newer ones are designed to take printed stickers

You can buy online the prepaid ones too, but you still have to get them franked/receipted at the PO :)

i like them as once they are sealed they are stuck fast, but as people have said you still have to join that queue of people coughing and sniffing :(

Would you gents send your watches in these? I understand for insurance purposes you'll have to line up anyway?

yes, you have to lie up and get them scanned anyway to get a receipt. I cannot really see an advantage of buying the prepaid

I had to send a prepaid self-addressed return envelope to the passport agency or suchlike - one of these was perfecto for the job
