    Very fine stuff indeed.
Makes me even more ashamed not having posted one home-made pic myself

Well, thanks for the chosen topic! It's high time to say "Hi!" and to introduce myself.

I'm in the 30+ late twenties and like both modern and vintage watches.

Unfortunately, when the Rolex bug bites it bites hard. But first things first. I started my collection with this beauty:

    Eterna KonTiki Chronograph (1591.41.40)

(This picture was taken before it's first service.)

Great, not only do I want a new watch or two but now I've convinced myself I need a macro lens for the camera. This site is clearly going to cost me a fortune...

    Really great pics.
Wonder how some people come up with such original idea's in photographing a watch in so
    many different ways.

For presenting my own collection, stealing sometimes some idea's.

    Thx for the pics
    Feike

    Thanks for the compliments! :)

After long time lurking in Rolex forums I bought a GMT-C. For me it's the most beautiful modern watch.

Re: Some really great watch photos

In March I attended Munich watch fair and had no clue what I was doing. There are so many (partial) fakes around.

But with the help of some german "silverbacks" I managed to get a Submariner 5512.

The vintage bug has bitten me pretty bad ...

    Hi. Anybody here?

The next one was a Sea-Dweller from 1998 with slightly-creamy patina.

I don't want to talk about this one ... seriously.

    I lost it.

Btw, the Munich watch fair is quite a slippery slope. Too many of those Italian thugs over there with their Frankenwatches. But it's always nice to have a short chitchat with James Dowling ;-)

    Hi and welcome Roland,
some really inspirational pics there and nice collection, although I'm no Rolex man myself - the pics were brilliant

Lovely photography, really - thanks for posting.

But your GMTII-c pics illustrate my problem with that watch - I don't think I can deal with flat crystals and no anti-reflective...

Re: Some really great watch photos

Now that is a watch. There is an old military sub going on Ebay at the moment and it looks awesome. I just wish I had the cash to buy it, I reckon could well go near the 20k mark or more

I'm using an old cam in automatic macro mode and Photoshop. One of the best ways to shoot a great photo is simply by shooting many of them.

Nevertheless, it's easy to read, much better than the Deepsea. Reflections add some kind of bling too. 8)

    She tried it.

    She liked it.
