Aw that does sadden me, enjoyed many of his films, and reported to be a very nice guy. RIP Dalton :(

RIP Patrick.

Yes, terrible news always struck me as someone who didn't get a "big head" with the fame. It really is too bad
RIP PS, you will be missed
I've got to say reading of his death troubled me - not something I would normally ever say about a celebrity.
Perhaps it's a bit like hearing of a contemporary who has succumbed to cancer, quite shocking when it happens because they were there on the TV and silver screen and you didn't think of them as being "old" at all.
It sounds like he was genuinely well thought of and will be deeply missed.
Yes very sad, he seemed like a bloke you would enjoy having a pint with.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
yep, very sad news indeed.
cheers

Very sad. In addition to the qualities people have already mentioned he also had a long and successful marriage by Hollywood standards, which says something about the man.
Very sad news, I thought he was gonna beat it! :(
Very sad news. Actually I didn't like his movies or music, but he seemed to be a very down-to-earch kind of man.
R.I.P. :(
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.
That is sad news, I thought he seemed to be improving. :(
RIP
Cheers,
Neil.
RIP. I was only wondering the other day how he was doing.

RIP. Sad news. He was good in Point Break; one of my favourite films.

Sad news, can't believe he was 57. I was watching Red Dawn the just other night. RIP
Can't say i have ever enjoyed a film he was in....However his latest work, the Beast was a great show, he played a great part and carried on doing it despite being so ill, for me his finest hour! Just such as shame it was in his last hour :(
I saw an interview with him last year on The Tonight Show and he came across as a sincere humble man who loved his family, one of the nice guys of hollywood.
RIP fella
Inevitable really, he looked so frail with his recent battles...
RIP PS

By all accounts a decent man, rare in Hollywood. RIP.

Sad news and admired his forthrightness in the face of adversity. Thought he was a good actor, and liked some of his work.
Also interesting and though one does not always have control over it, remained married to the same lady, which in Hollywood, seems a notable fact.
Br and RIP,
AP.
Very sad news indeed. Equally as sad, the Misses will be watching 'Dirty Dancing' for the 1000th time :?

Was sad to hear that patick had lost his brave battle against his cancer.
I liked the man, great actor, top man.
My wife was telling about the interview he made about his illness last year, she said he was a fantastic chap, I feel for his wife and family.
RIP, feel like watching him in roadhouse now,
sad day, him and keith floyd passing.
A sad day indeed, RIP :(
