Yep apologies Andrew, each to his own, It not just your tattoo that I don't like its all tattoo's, so I'm a little biased. Although that one of Sir Bobby on that guys leg was a work of art. :wink:Originally Posted by Jonmurgie

Very brave for posting up.
Makes me want to do something a bit crazy.

Is this Tattoo thing just you trying to fit in been a "bouncer" ? What next a "Look at my ugly Pitbull" thread etc?
Something not making sense with all this " Army, bouncer " thread stuff. Do you need to create some sort of "hard man " image ?
Or he's just one of the millions of people out there who like tattoos? They ain't for me, but we'd have an awful lot of wanna-be doormen if that was the only reason for getting one...Originally Posted by Driftwood

for placing his penis inside a paper bag full of plums and and standing outside the school gates at home time and offering them out asking the kids to "pick a big un! "
One of my all time favourite songs, the wife has been instructed to make sure that it's played at my funeral........................ you know you're becoming an old fart when your favourite songs are regularly played on radio 2 :twisted:Originally Posted by Doggycam
As for tattos, you can keep em, they may look OK on the young, but they look terrible the older you (and they) get. Take a good look around you next time your on a beach somewhere.
Don't think they are to be honest,as they think it would be cool to be on the list.Originally Posted by Jonmurgie

Good for you, hope you enjoy it for years to come,as a heavily tattooed person i understand the whole thing, not my style mind.Ive just had the Aston Martin DB1R with Sir Stirling Moss recoloured on my arm,and just have the background inc period Ferrari Testarossa to finish.
Car tattoos - very unusual! Any photos? :)Originally Posted by thorpey69

As the artist that covered up my first one with my last one said in realtion to the first one, 'Dude, that's one bad tattoo!'
But you like it so that ROCKS!!!! :D
Respect the past, live the present, protect the future
Still loving it despite the negativity :D which at the end of the day is what it is all about, if i'd asked for you guys opinion before hand then it would have already been a mistake, i asked no-one about it and decided myself :-) no "peer" pressure, no trying to look like a hardman, just a plain old case of wanting something and getting it, sod the consequences and sod the opinions of others, but thanks for the comments :-) the tattoo is unfinished, so still needs some work, when it's done it should look even better, we'll see come sunday :-)
Thanks,
Andrew
I like the Tattoo design but I don't like Tattoo's - too permanent
At least you haven't had Charlie Uniform November Tango across your forehead
Mmm tattoos again eh. I like em but it's all down to taste. Your grim reaper is a bit, well, grim for me. But I'm glad that your happy with it.
Gives me another chance to show my firebird tattoo painting off.
There was plenty of silly silly tattoos getting done whilst I was in Thailand the best one was a guy that had a Singha bottle tattoed on his shoulder. Ridiculous to say the least but we all laughed the next day.
Fair play mate hope you live with it and are happy

Careful
Personally not keen on tattoos at all; however I thought it worth posting that our policy at work is "no visible tattoos" (in case it freaks out the customers) however there is an exception for "service tattoos" for some reason.
I can only see this getting more lax over the years as tattoos become more commonplace, so it may not be anathema to employers as it once was.
Good to see you back posting Andrew.
Let's see the finished article on Sunday then - and as you say, sod the the opinions; it is what pleases you that matters most.Originally Posted by dawson2k5

I'm a fan of tattoos and the design, although not my cup of tea, is not bad, but i've gotta say that if that guy had scrawled that on my arm he'd be hanging off the wear bridge by now!! Always choose your artist very very carefully and if possible try to go with someone who specialises in the style you want. That way you get a piece of art rather than badly coloured scribble. I'm keen to see the finished result though :)
True, but when you're older and you decide that an Athena poster of a topless bird draped over a Countach isn't your thing anymore you can take it down... :DOriginally Posted by thorpey69
