I've done some really stupid things in my time, but do I regret them, no :D

They have made me into the person I am today, and without the backlash of knowledge I got from these disasters I would be half the man I am

But instead you're a quarter of the man since that accident with the chain saw even though your dad warned you not to play with it?

Right. I won't go into the debate of how to read smilies, or the power of irony.

Have it your way! (as a great American Restaurant chain used to say  )

    Re: regrets

I thought my first wife was a big regret. Until I met the second one.

However the biggest regret is losing both parents and little brother before having a chance to know them better. Always wished to spend more time with them.

My thoughts entirely, if I hadn't done anything stupid then I wouldn't have learnt that they were, indeed, stupid.

Having said that, I do wish I had chosen History instead of Geography at GCSE and hence A-Level as it would have been considerably more interesting. Also do wish I had bought this top-floor flat in a large Victorian semi in Harrogate. It even had a turret and would have been stunning when refurbished. Sadly the estate agent rang me at some ungodly time on a Saturday morning, my head was somewhat fuzzy and all I wanted to do was sleep so said I would call them back. Which I never got round till until too late...
