Now those are close ups, very good pictures. :D I think the lume in those hands is going to need sorting out though, before it all falls out.

It's naturally aged and while I could go get a clean set from Cousins, I prefer seeing the passage of time in the hands.Originally Posted by dutchgray

Thanks for those great photos! I have it in my mind to get a display back on my 3570 as soon as it is out of warranty. Your pics sure add to my motivation for doing that. Cheers.

Amazing pictures, and definitely leave those hands as they are.

Brilliant! Nice one. :)
Great pictures mate, the dial and hands look aged to perfection!! :)
now first one on my work computers desktop, the other one will be on my home computer!
Great pictures!!
Can you enighten me as to how you took these with the stock lens? I have a 450D and cannot get anywhere near that zoom
Love them !
Thanks for that
Brian
Firstly, it's magnification, not zoom. Zoom is the ratio between the widest focal length and longest focal length.Originally Posted by gilford
The lens was mounted backwards on the camera. You'll need to have some way of locking the aperture open, I believe with the kit lens and 450D the best way to do this would be to set a wide aperture, hold down the depth of field preview button and unmount the lens.
Just hold the lens backwards against the lens mount and see what happens. You can buy mounts relatively cheaply for a more elegant and permanent solution.
Those are great,. The movement photo is now my wallpaper on my MacBook Pro.
Cool pics, its almost like having superpowers to see so close up. I wonder if I removed my eyeballs and re-inserted them backwards, would it have the same effect ?
Wow amazing close ups!
fantastic pics, just heard my mate's got a new lens so I'm hoping for some decent photos of my little lot soon... : 8)
